We stayed when park almost to capacity over a long weekend - but it was brilliant - very quiet Amenities adequate - a second camp kitchen would be helpful in a place that size, but is only a small issue.

Park is Big.Staff friendly and very helpful to your needs, Amenities are clean and work well, bit more water pressure would be nice and in some showers the floor needs to have a bit of maintaining. Markings for van area could be larger, more defined area to park. Has a shop but was closed when we were there. Easy access to beach... More

Facilities were ok but is this the only caravan park in the world that lets people's stay with their dogs! Forgids sake four dogs on all sides waking my family up. At 5 am ; they should be paying people to stay here ; and that not even touching the liability issues with putting hundreds of kids next to all... More

We stayed here over 3 nights during a family long weekend. The location right next to the beach and across the road from Lake Pertobe is awesome! Our kids loved it! I agree with most of the comments already posted here. Its a huge park with some great facilities. The camp kitchen really is large and quite impressive. Ive also... More

We booked a powered van site for 6 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had a large site as requested for our van. Amenities were good and regularly cleaned. We did not use the camp kitchen which was very impressive and quite new. The park is very large with lots of grassy sites of various sizes. The beach... More

This was a one night stopover for us and we had an unpowered tent site. It was the furtherest away tent site at the very very back of the park. Thankfully there is a amenities block a reasonable distance away, however the amazing camp kitchen is located at the very front of the park. When I say amazing, it is... More

Hi THere Thanks for your review. I am a bit surprised you didnt make it to the beach that is just 50 metres from where you camped over the sanddune. Yes the camp kitchen is one of the best - we receive great comments on it. Thanks again for your stay and we hope you can stay longer next time. More

We recently stayed in our van. Very impressed with proximity to beach and sleeping to the sound of the waves. Very large park with ample facilities which were cleaned frequently. We did a last minute booking over jan school holidays, so impressed we could even get a site !

We stayed in one of the beachfront chalets which had everything you need inside, they are in a great location, short stroll to beach, park ( best park l have ever seen) and town, my only suggestion would be putting a roof on the deck for al weather and mayb a table out there , we actually ended up buying... Thanks Jenny for your kind comments. Our new beach chalets are a real hit. I take on board your comments about the awning for shade. We have planted trees around the chalets and hope they will grow to also provide further shade. More

Went to this caravan park with 3 other families from 27th December for 13 days. We had 10 children ranging from 2 to 17, an even spread. What an awesome place right on the beach and massive caravan sites. The greater area has a new BMX track, skate park, 4-5km beach track and all the usual city offerings for activities,... More

We've just spent 3 weeks camping in a powered site at Surfside over the peak New Year/January holidays. This was our forth stay at Surfside. This park is huge! Reportedly catering to 4000+ people per night in peak season. They have an overflow site a few hundred metres away called Shipwreck. Sites vary in size although we've noticed the non... More

Thanks for your review. We continue to work through the blocks to complete upgrades. Block 7 Surfside this past year was painted, but also had new roof, tiling, and brand new hot water service. The park in peak of summer hold around 5000 people in our 1100 sites and 24 cabins. Most people love the buzz this creates. For a... More
