Sorry about not reviewing this hotel before now, but I had forgotten about it until I saw it when looking on Google Street View.

Now it's all clear to me. We had driven 800kilometres that day and arrived around 8-9pm, evidently too late (by Australian standards) to find a hotel still open! I banged on the reception door only to be greeted by the "owner" and was reluctantly given a room key.

We got checked in and tried to call Canada from our room, the phone wouldn't work, so I had to go and knock up the owner again to help me. He gave me another rooms key to use that phone! All I recall is that in the morning he charged me some cock-a-memie phone service charge (for both rooms!). I'm pretty sure the hotel was clean and OK for one night otherwise we have tried another place, but what rude owners. Try somewhere else unless you are stuck.

The town is nice, I bought a nice a shirt and tie for my son's wedding. more
