We stayed here for a week- double room en suite Aus$80 per night. It is on the tram line running into town - but bear in mind that's Aus$7 for a day pass. I stayed at what was then called Cooee on St Kilda for 3 weeks in March 2008. The hostel was only 1 year old then as I was there at it's 1st birthday party when Lynn Scully from Neighbours came. This is a good backpacker hostel but if you're thinking about staying in one of the $100 ensuite rooms you might want to spend an extra $10 or $20 and stay in a real hotel. If you are backpacking & used to roughing it - you will love it, by hostel standards it is very high. Had a really great stay in the Coee in April '07. Staff were great (really friendly and helpful receptionists), and you get a free hour of internet per day you stay.
