Very good hostel. Always clean, room and kitchen including. Bathrooms very big, with the best showers I have ever seen, always clean. Kitchen big enough with a lot of pots and pans and grocieries but dosen't hold the rush hour. TV room, common room, laundry, parking and patch, BBQ.... Friendly staff, free wi-fi and breakfast. A lot of activity every... More

I stayed 2 nights at Habitat HQ. It was not bad :). Only the kitchen was really dirty :(... And breakfast was included, but there barely was a breakfast. The rooms were nice though. Especially the separate bathroom was a plus.

Hi Dorien, Thank you for your review, we value all feedback and use it to ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality product. I am sorry to read that you thought our free breakfast of 3 types of cereals, hot porridge, toast and condiments, tea and coffee was barely a breakfast! I have to say I disagree, but if... More

The staff were so friendly and welcoming on my arrival. One of the things that has annoyed me most in Oz is having to pay extra for everything, not so in Habitat, FREE wifi, free breakfast, free tea and coffee and my personal favourite not having to muck about renting dishes. The kitchen was immaculate and so orderly I was... More

What a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be. As more senior citizens we had anticipated a "Nana and Grandad have arrived" feel to this hostel type accommodation. The staff were so friendly and helpful even showing me where I had gone wrong attempting to access the internet without so much as a smirk. OK there was a lot... More

I stayed 6 nights at Habitat Hq, the hostel was all in all nice and worked well for its purpose. I stayed in a dorm for 6 pers, and it must have been the smallest room in the hostel, nice and cosy though. The only problem was the lack of space for the suitcases, after everybody had their luggage there,... More

Habitat HQ was a nice place to stay, perfectly located near St Kilda and not too far away from the beach. I had booked a private room and it's value was outstanding. For it's price ($100ish) we got the exact same thing as a private hotel in the CBD (usually round the $180 mark). Private en-suite, T.V, tea coffee making... More

Great friendly hostel. Communal area downstairs was good to meet new people and beers were relatively cheap from the front desk. Kitchen would get crowded at times z but all in all enjoyed my first week in ST Kilda.

This is a really friendly and welcoming hostel. The slightly older female receptionist is so lovely and really made us feel at home, she couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was basic but perfect for what we needed. The double bed was comfy and the ensuite facilities ideal for our break. At this time of year it is a... More

We stayed at a private room, which was very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help with concerns or just to give advice about local attractions. There were a couple of minor complications due to a booking mistake and some room problems, but these were dealt with promptly and professionally. The bar was cheap... More
