This has to be one of Melbournes best kept secrets. Located in the beautiful suburb of St Kida , within walking distance of Albert Park, Fitzroy st with very good restaurants, and of course Ackland St. Transport is frequent , and very close by. the attention to detail and comfort for guests is outstanding. The house is a beautiful example of... More

From our first impression of the Victorian house front in a shady, leafy street, to the eye catching art on the hallways and stairs, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to 28 Mary St and St Kilda. Catherine and her staff were just the right amount of attentive; helpful with travel advice as well as giving excellent recommendations for restaurants in... More

I started out looking for somewhere within walking distance of Albert Park for the Australian F1 GP, and how lucky was I to find this place. A lovely old house, sympathetically restored and full of artworks. Wonderful staff, super breakfast, comfy rooms. My first visit to St Kilda and a very enjoyable one. Thanks to all.

We have just had 2 nights, 7 & 8 March, at 28 Mary Street St Kilda B&B. Catherine & her friendly staff made us feel very welcome! Lovely old home. If website says full, then email or phone Catherine, as guests have been told they don't have rooms.....when they did have rooms. Louise, Canterbury, New Zealand.

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it a very friendly and comfortable place to be. Catherine the new owner is very friendly and nothing was too much bother. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom too. Very comfortable king size bed and nice quiet air conditioning. All the restaurants and other attractions of St Kilda are very close,... More

DO NOT STAY HERE. It's a long story, but that is the moral of it!! In the beginning we were welcomed by a friendly staff member Susanna, who helped us to the room with our bags. As we were the only guests in the place we requested to see another room as the pictures (on trip advisor) were deceiving and... More

Wonderful old victorian house, beautifully decorated: mixture old and new, art and fotos. Perfect breakfast and very special home roasted coffee, Catherine gave us perfect tipps for exploring not only Melbourne but also the surroundings, easy to reach the city by tram, location is also perfect for a run at the beach, St. Kilda - lot of restaurants

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid October after spending a month in Australia and before heading to New Zealand. It was a wonderful way to spend our last few days in Oz. The B&B is in a beautiful large historic (but current) and comfortable home in the suburbs of Melbourne and in the hip district area of St.... More

A beautiful property 10 minutes walk from the beach in St.Kilda. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and stocked a lovely brand of amenities. There was a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. We enjoyed an extremely comfortable stay. The host could not do enough for us, with advice about the local area, ordering... More

We stayed here in February 2014 for four nights, had a wonderful time and have no reservations in recommending this super B&B to others. Our room was clean and the en-suite was well equipped with lots of eco-extras thrown in. The B&B is ideally located to give good access to the city, its surrounding areas and the sites we wanted...
