We got lucky that they had given our 4 bed dorm away when we arrived, so got a private for the same price! The boss and a few of the staff are actually really nice, and the tv is good.. but other than that, it really isn't a good hostel! Such a shame that everywhere else is so expensive! They... More

Arrived at 10am had to wait till 11am for an Oslo staff to open the gate, staff is not friendly, not welcoming and I think she really need a good sleep... Dead rat on lawn. The foyer worn out, couches stinks, dusty, gloomy and dirty. Coffee machine doesn't work, wifi connection is terrible...( first world country? I think not) Room... More

I've read most of the other negative reviews and they are correct in spirit. I take exception to the way some of them are done, for instance tossing your luggage and items all over the room to make it look messy. The point is you need to be fair and accurate about this. So: The other reviews are correct. I... More

Stayed during the Open Tennis Australia, everywhere was booked out and extremely expensive. We came to this place as a last resort and yes, read the previous reviews. We knew what to expect and the following is what we found: Two slim girls trying to lug suitcases up the giant stairs into the reception, whilst the male receptionist watched us... More

Its in a great location, a two minute walk from the shops and a tram stop not far from it either. The city is about fifteen minutes away on the tram andthe beach is a ten minute walk or two minutes on the tram. That's about all the good there is for this place... Freezing cold room, pathetic heater or... More

We stayed at the Oslo during November 2013. The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly, HOWEVER, when we got to our room, we were a bit shocked.Too late to find other accommodation & we had had to pay all money up front when we arrived. The room was spacious but not very clean. The microwave in it was really filthy,... More

Reminds me more of a crack den than a hotel. Awful staff, really grubby, blood all over the bedroom carpet and the whole place stinks of weed. You couldn't pay me to go back again. Prisoners get better accommodation and they are being punished.

I booked a night stay for 48 dollars thru bookings.com. Was told on arrival that the booking hasnt beeen paid for and would be paid on arrival plus a 20 dollar key deposit which was also news. Nothing said on the website about this. It did the job for the night but the place needs a refurbish. The beds are... More

Me and my friend didn't even stay at this hostel but when we called to enquire about availability the man on the other end of the phone was so rude!!! He did not make pricing clear at all so when questioned he then came back with a very rude comment on "not being very good at maths in school". Being... More
