Dont let these other reviews fool you, this hostel was fantastic! Dont know if they had a change in staff or maybe its just the new renovations but Nomads st kilda has turned a page! The staff made me feel right at home and I had a great time chilling on the roof with some solid people. I stayed in... More

First moved here as it was the cheapest hostel I could find. What an amazing choice it was. Been here nearly three months now and have made such great friends who I will definitely meet up with in the future. Overall the hostel is clean and is constantly being refreshed with ongoing work to complete the new bathrooms and dorm... More

My brother and his girlfriend visited me in St Kilda at the beginning of the year. They stayed at 'The Coffee Palace', which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Which was embarrassing for me as I found it and booked it for them. The location is ideal. Right in the middle of St Kilda, close to trams... More

Took a detour to Melbourne for the Grand Prix en route to Gold Coast. Prices were extortionate due to the F1 so we were really scraping the barrel. Arrived around 11am following a late night flight from Perth but we were unable to check in early (fair enough, rules are rules). Told to place our luggage in a storage room.... More

We stayed here for a week as it was cheap and we wanted to be in St Kilda. We thought it'd be alright as it's recently been taken over by Nomads - we were wrong! The bedrooms and bathrooms were disgusting and dirty; the free wifi didn't work and the kitchen was dirty and didn't have enough cutlery etc for... More

Hostel staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming. Room standard was poor compared to others we have stayed in for a similar price (e.g. Broken doors, loud beds). Lack of respect from other guests, and this didn't seem to be encouraged by staff and hostel standards. Other hostels stayed in within a similar price range have offered a much better service. However,... More

Greeted by ignorant staff. 5 of us stayed in a 6 bed dorm, the showers on our floor were either boiling hot or ice cold with no inbetween but discovered a better shower on the floor above. Bedroom itself was fine and got a lot of help from Kim in the on site mad travel shop. No complaints as you... More

Hey There! Thank you for your review. We are glad you got to use our new bathroom. Soon every bathroom in the Coffee Palace is going to be as beautiful as that one. Hopefully you will be able to come back to St Kilda soon and check them out. We apologise that some of our staff weren't too friendly but... More

Disgraceful how bad it is. Filthy with broken showers, toilets, no free wifi as advertised. Pretty much the worst place I have ever stayed...They told us there was free street parking nearby...another lie...spent 1.5hrs finding paid parking kms away

This place was okay but the hostel staff were very rude and so cliquey. There were three of us and it felt like everyone was very rude and obnoxious. Most of the people in this hostel were actually working there, the kitchen had no utensils and the laundry room was never available as the staff were washing the hostel sheets... More
