I stayed here for two weeks on a recent trip to St. Kilda and would definitely come back. I had a one-bedroom apartment for just myself and it was fine. It was in the South block, which is up two floors from reception, across a walkway and then up another lift. This wasn't an issue though, and it did mean... more

Very disappointed, we had booked and paid for a one bedroom apartment, that is not what we got! we have 2 children and we were given a tiny room, that we could barely fit into! It wasn't cleaned very well, very dirty in the kitchen area, very little privacy as our room faced another room, and we both had to... more

I stayed there for the convenience of location and was easily deceived by the "classy" front entrance photo, but that’s where the class ended. The room was ok at best, but there were numerous items broken, namely the light switches and fly-wire screens and the exhaust fan in the bathroom. There were numerous marks all over the walls and I... more

The evaluation of this hotel must be split in three: 1. Location The location of the hotel is good, away from the city and close to the beach. Easy access to 2 trams, and a Day Card is only AUD 6,50/person. There are also a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood, mainly towards the beach. The breakfast/lunch restaurant 3 doors... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights recently and were a little apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews when we found we were in the tower at the back and I made a comment on checking in that I'd heard the rooms there weren't as good. The receptionist commented that all the rooms in this tower... more

Stayed for 1 night in a 3 bedroomed apartment. The apartment was huge and had a great view over the park opposite. The apartments themselves are a bit dated and need updating. Best thing about this place is the location - trams at the door to city and walk to beach etc. Great spots to eat at the door. Would... more

I stayed at the Medina Executive in St Kilda simply because my regular place was fully booked out. Whenever I travel I like, where possible, to stay in an apartment because then I can cook for myself. I was quite disappointed in the Medina St Kilda - I believe that there are two towers and one is better than the... more

I got a great rate on Medina's corporate website. Then I found out why! They gave me the worst room imaginable. On the first floor, #82 actually overlooks the interior of the indoor parking garage. Everytime someone drove in activating the noisy garage door, and then banged in thru the access door to the hotel which was next to our... more

I am in Melbourne quite frequently and have pretty much made this place my home away from home - I've stayed here probably about 5-6 times in the last 2 years for a total of about 30 nights. Usually I stay in the 1 bedroom appartments in the front tower, where I have gotten used to the basic but comfortable... more

As I was going to a concert at the Palace in St Kilda with two friends, an apartment seemed the best option for us. We stayed on a Saturday night. Check-in was quick and efficient. As is the practice in nearly all hotels, they 'swiped' my Visa card to cover any 'incidentals' (I didn't realise that the swipe 'reserved' $50... more
