Great location in the heart of st kilda and all the offerings, restaurants, beach and close to the CBD. The rooms are very small, for two people you need to book the deluxe as a minimum and if you get a balcony what a bonus, you get to people watch and have a great view over the heart of st... More

We chose a superior room which was a bit pricier but gave us a balcony overlooking Fitzroy street-worth it for the people watching. The room was apparently more spacious than others but it felt small, especially the ensuite. Room was well appointed with a modern decor and the double glazing blocked out the noise. Our queen bed was comfortable but... More

Loved everything about The Prince. Stayed in St Kilda because it is such a great old-fashioned beach location. Trams to the city outside the door. Walking distance to loads of great restaurants. Breakfast included in room rate - we chose a different one each day to check out the menu. Great room with balcony (if you wanted a cigarette). Excellent... More

We stayed here because we wanted to go to a restaurant in rripponlea we found this location perfect. It was easy access to chapel street as well which was great for shopping & going out for dinner. We were greeted warmly, the restaurant Circa was excellent; breakfast had great selections, the food and service was awesome. The noise level was... More

We have now stayed at four different hotels along Fitzroy Street, St Kilda mainly due to the close proximity to great restaurants and cafés in that area. Unfortunately, previous stays in the "Premier Suite" raised expectations to a point where staying in a "base level" Boutique Room was a bit of a disappointment - not that there was much wrong... I'd stay here any time while in Melbourne. Great for St. Kilda, the hotel is couple minutes from the beach. Good rooms, good service, very nice breakfast at the nearby cafe that caters for the hotel. Very lively area with lots of bars and restaurants, but hotel was quiet and comfortable. Did not miss anything, and hope to be back.

Stayed for a night in The Prince Hotel in St. Kilda. Good position couple of minutes walk to the beach, 5-10 minute walk to Acland st.Tram to the city just outside the hotel. The accommodation was clean, the bedroom layout made the bed area quite compact , there was no view in our room with the windows opening near a... More

My wife and I are regular visitors to Melbourne and The Prince is the hotel we love to stay at. We love the location in St Kilda, so close to great places to eat, shop or browse, we love the smaller intimacy of this hotel, the amazing Circa restaurant and downstairs Acland Street Cantina, and the Aurora Spa for some... Had a lovely few days at the Prince. Rooms were nicely decorated and stylish. Not the biggest rooms but well set up. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Included breakfast was delicious (portion size was modest -probably what I should eat rather than what I usually eat - quality perhaps rather than quantity) Room service food, delicious and good value....
