This is a lovely boutique hotel with clean rooms containing large televisions. The tram line is right outside making for simple travel to the city. Only a 10-15min walk to Acland St or hop on the tram.

The Hotel is situated in a great location, close to restaurants, cafe's and St Kilda beach. The tram stops outside the Hotel and about a 20 minute ride into Melbourne CBD. The Hotel was in very good condition and we loved the way it was painted and the paintings that adorn the walls. The room was small but had everything... More

The location of this hotel is perfect. Surrounded by great bars, restaurants, cafes and a five minute walk to the stunning St Kilda beach, where you can also catch a glimpse of a few penguins at the end of the pier. There is tram stop outside, which takes you into central Melbourne in about 20 minutes or so. Auckland street... More

Wonderful place to stay on the main road through St Kilda. Fantastic artwork on the walls throughout the hotel, giving it a classic and unique look. Clean rooms and hallways, with a fantastic bar and restaurant at the front (Mirka). A small kitchen area in my room was great to let me make my own breakfast if I wanted to,... More

This hotel is filled with arts pieces. The reception may looked a bit 'old school' but the paintings and lighting installation are on the first floor. I booked a suite and offered a choice of one on the semi basement floor and a slightly smaller one on the first floor. Both suites were clean, well maintained with nice modern furnitures.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Tolarno Hotel for 6 nights in October. We requested a quiet room and were given a ground floor room at the back of the hotel. It was perfect. Very quiet. It could get quite noisy on the street outside late evening, but this felt like a world away once we were inside our... More

Hello oztraveller1130, Thank you for writing your review. We are really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience at Tolarno’s, and the St Kilda area. There’s so much on the walls, we are wondering how we can fit more in, but I’m sure there will be a way - glad you enjoyed viewing it. Thank you again and we... More

Stayed here on a Friday night recently. I was travelling on my motorcycle and made feel very welcome by the staff who could do enough to help and made sure I could park my bike safely. Rooms are very nice maybe a little NYC SOHO style so not overly large but no road noise. We ate in the restaurant and... More

Hello ausbiker, Thank you for your review. We are very pleased to hear that our staff make you feel welcome and could assist you with parking your motorcycle safely. Like you say, our rooms are a little different and your description of a NYC SOHO style is quite apt. Glad you enjoyed dining at Mirka too. It’s always nice to... More

we found this hotel perfect for location with tram stop outside, great cafes and restaurants nearby, easy walking distance to popular Ackland St., Palais Theatre and beach. Whilst the untidy state of the footpath was at first off-putting, once inside the Hotel we were pleasantly surprised. Staff very helpful, room clean, free wi-fi worked well in room. We would definitely... More
