The old adage of you get what you pay for applies here, but at $89.00 (double) per night, it provides excellent value for money. We were fortunate enough to stay on the "back" side of the motel, away from the bulk of the street noise that comes in from Fitzroy Street. It is in a great location, with a tram... more

Easystay is exactly as the name suggest. Everything I could of wanted and more. The reception staff are very nice and they make you feel welcomed in their motel they are also very helpful. Only guest can access the motel it is very safe you require a pin to put into the pad to gain access to the motel. I... more

i booked this hotel before reading the reviews on this site so was obviously worried about what i was walking into. My experience is however completely different to those listed here. Yes the accomodation is basic, reflective of the $89 a night cost. There are 2 beds, tv, fridge, table and chairs and a bathroom. There is also an air... more

We have been travelling for 3 months, stayed in 45 different types of accommodation and this has to be the worst. The young girl on reception was arrogant - when we said we hadn't stayed in a motel over shops before. She told us ALL motels were like this. Her female colleague chirruped in to support her. No lift. We... more

Unfortunately for the night I was wanting it my usual #1 choice in St Kilda (The Cosmopolitan) was booked out and this was the only one available. Big mistake. Although the female staff member who served me was extremely polite and helpful, she was unfortunately the standout aspect of the stay. Along with previous reviewers, I found the noise levels... more

Stayed in a twin room for one night. Room was a bit dingy, with a single bed and a (rather ricketty) bunk bed. Bathroom was also a bit grotty, but functional. Location is a mixed bag. On the positive side, it's right on Fitzroy Street, bang in the centre of St. Kilda, which makes it incredibly convenient for the bars,... more

Where to start? Stayed here in March 2008 - because we were there for the F1 Grand Prix. We stayed 5 nights and the morning after the first night we found mouse droppings in one of the saucers by the kettle. We then noticed that the biscuit packet we had bought from the 7-11 had been gnawed through. Suffice to... more

Booked this place without consulting Tripadvisor - Big Mistake! We are are a family of four, with one of us still in a pram, so it was a bit of a shock to find the motel above a shopping strip with no elevator. It was nice to see an historical 1950's motel still in use, but the twin room (a... more

Has to be the worst 3 days of my life. I have stayed at hotels around the world and this bad. I would have rather slept in a car on the side of the street than stay in this hotel. The room was dirty and smelled. Walls are paper thin and I could hear people use the bathroom(#1 and #2)... more

We booked a cheap family room for one night -thanks God it was only ONE night ! After we climbed to the 2nd floor with our luggage (no lifts) and tried to put the children in bed, the noise on the street continued to up to 4 AM and the trams started clanking and ringing their bells at about 6... more
