Great place to stay on our way up the East Coast. The room was large, comfortable bed, balcony, and easy access to restaurants and shops (short drive or a 15 minute walk). Hosts lovely and informative. Free parking. The kitchenette was handy to make breakfast the next day It is on the busy road, but as I sleep with earplugs... more

We have stayed at the Abel Tasman on our way to the Saphire Coast over a number of years, and we have always been made welcome and the service has been efficient without being intrusive, On our last trip we .had trouble with our car which necesitated extending our stay at short notice. The proprietors could not have been more... more

Came from Adeliade to meet up with three mates for a golf-trip. Owners organised a package with the Golf Club which included playing and also evening meals. We all took the cooked breakfast option which was terrific not to mention a good size. Great time had by all. more

My 94 year old mother and I stayed for four days, five nights. After explaining my mothers 'needs' the Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Our rooms were lovely and suitable, couldn't fault them and the Owners gave advice of what to visit always taking into account my mothers age and infirmity and we had a lovely stay. more

I loved the Abel Tasman. The owners, Graeme and Janice were very accomodating and the room was spotless. We stayed for a week we loved it so much. We have travelled all over the world and we felt safe, clean, and welcome. The rates were very reasonable and anything we needed, it was provided. Husband loved the Bar B Q... more

Do not stay here. This place is older than the ark of the covenant and noisy. The road noise was almost drowned out by the noise created from the adjoining rooms. Given my wife was pregnant and in desperate need of a nights rest I had specifically asked about noise to which the owner replied it was fine - I... more

We were looking to book an apartment and what we got was a budget motel. Screen was ripped in the room, 3 beds crammed in a small space and it did not look or smell clean. We decided we could not spend the night and moved to the other end of town and got stung for the entire evening! Stay... more

We came across this little motel on our honeymoon roadtrip. After having a quick the round the town only to be told 'it is better in summer' we found the Abel Tasman Inn. The owner was friendly and gave us a quick look at the room prior to checking in. The room itself did have a view over the main... more

The location is okay if you don't mind the traffic. The sea is close. Rooms like an appartment. Clean. Little pool. Friendly owners. more
