Back in March of this year my husband and I drove 4 hours frm Melbourne to spend some relaxing time together in beautiful Lakes Entrance. I had previously booked our accommodation online and arrived to a very clean and welcoming apartment on the first floor. We had fantastic views of the lake while sitting on the balcony enjoying a glass... More

This hotel is very comfortable, clean and inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of breakfast and the mini bar. The rooms are very comfortable and only a short walk to all Lakes Entrance has to offer in the shopping strip and wharf area. I will definetly be returning to this tidy little hotel.

Worth a stay! We arrived late in the afternoon and scored a first floor room with a view. Reception was smooth and courteous. Price of rooms was on a par with others in town but this one has the view. The room was particularly clean, well appointed with good kitchen facilities and a thought out utensil and crockery supply. Bed... More

My husband and I have recently returned from our stay at Abel Tasman and could not recommend it highly enough. Matt and Tanya couldn't have been more helpful, even to the point of putting our car in one of the lock up garages, due to an auto electric problem where we weren't able to lock the back doors, it must... We had a voucher for our accommodation which my mother had purchased for us (after enjoying her own stay here), so my first dealings with the Abel Tasman were via email to book. Then of course came me wanting to change the date, which I thought may have been an issue. This was my first hint as to how accommodating... More

We enjoyed our three day stay here thoroughly. The owners were most helpful and friendly. Our room on the ground floor had a lovely view of the lake and the birdlife there. We had useful recommendations as to where to eat etc. The bed was fine as was the large flat screen and TV. The room was well equipped with... More

Matt & Tanya were very welcoming & Friendly on our arrival (& during our entire stay). Very helpful with local knowledge & made some very good recommendations for the best places to dine etc.. When I asked about the New Years Eve fireworks display & doing photography they were extremely helpful with location / times (there were x2 shows) &... More

Navman had me running around in circles. I rang Tanya who was very helpful with directions. Tanya was very welcoming and informative about local eateries and sights, I regretted not staying longer and I hadn't even made it to my room. My room was clean and spacious with plenty of extra pillows and linen. My room overlooked the Lake full... More

We were travelling in a group and the staff-which i assume is the owner as well- kind of suspecting us smuggling more people in the room. I clearly told him that we have booked another room at another great service hotel for the other few friends. Kept suspecting us and tried hard to keep an eye on us as if... More

Unfortunately we have had other bookings where this has happened (most recent three days before ).As your reservation was for 5 adults and 7 arrive we have to ask the question. We also live onsite and attend to a lot of the work ourselves , therefore our guests will see us quite regularly. More

I stayed at the Abel Tasman for one night only, while I was having an "Australian Tour" with my parents. We had a room on the upper level, with a wonderful lake view. it was clean, large and comfortable, with a small kitchen as well. The owners are really kind and the lovely breakfast is delivered through an hatch. I... More
