Stayed at Best Western Banjo Paterson Motor Inn during the weekend of extreme heat. A small (21 rooms) chain motel, moderately priced. Average sized room - unfortunately the fridge was full of 'junk'. A proper ironing board, and a really good washing machine room. A decent swimming pool with a relaxation area - good for a motel. We had 2 nights including breakfast. OH needs wheelchair access. Helpful receptionist described facilities in detail over phone. No actual disabled rooms but we had flat access from carpark to room and bathroom access was adequate. Had to get to breakfast room by exiting through carpark & going outside & around corner to front of hotel. Several steps up to... more

Stayed one night when driving from Sydney to Melbourne. Usual motel room, but surprisingly good restaurant "Clancy's" on premises (drawback: opening hours rather restritive; in Australian small cities, dinner is hard to find after 7:45 p.m.). Stayed over night, Easter Sunday. Convenient location with parking provided. The entrance and hallways are a little the worse for wear, which makes one a bit nervous as you walk in.
