I often stay at the 'Bot' for business, and always come away from the restaurant having had my fill. Great country style meals with very generous portions. The rib eye is famous. Despite being an older location, the rooms are being modernised & are clean & comfortable. Jeff & Lynne are great hosts.

We stayed here on a recent trip around Victoria and found our recently renovated Room 38 to be fabulous. This is obviously quite an old motel but they have really done a great job on the renovations. Very comfortable bed with immaculate linen and fittings. Great bathroom - all good. This was actually a family room and the two single... More

My husband and I lucked on this motel while on a touring drive from Adelaide to Melbourne. From the first point at check-in reception staff were very helpful and efficient, greatly appreciated after a long day driving. Room 34 (beautifully refurbished at back of motel) was excellent, great bathroom facilities and comfortable bed). Dinner in the restaurant was a great... More

We stayed here during a recent motorcyle adventure. The motel itself is of high standard. The staff courtesy and friendly. But the real surprise was the restaurant. Finding it nearly booked out on the night we visited we ate early. It was easy to see why it was popular with the locals, the food is simply excellent. The meals my... More

Have stayed at this property numerous times over the last 4 years. The owners are some of the most amiable people you'd meet and strive to continuously upgrade and improve. The rooms have been renovated with entirely new bathrooms, bedding, cabinetry and appliances over the last couple of years. With this in mind the rooms are very comfortable and functional.... More

An older style country hotel with ground floor units and adjacent parking. The restaurant and bar facilities have been renovated and people from outside the hotel come here to eat. Good wine selection. The rooms are a bit dated - the typical older style country hotel. The hotel was very busy at the time with DSE staff staying whilst fighting... More

We recently ate at the Botanical as part of a group of 6. I ordered the pork, and when it came out it looked bery unappetising. The pork looked grey and was tough and dry, the rice dry, and the bok choy that accompanied it was still full of grit. I think I tried about 3 mouthfuls. To be fair,... More

Stayed in a room against the main street. A bit disconcerting having the rooms windows facing onto regular pedestrian and street traffic (sub metre distance). Generally had the blinds drawn at all times although the room was a little noisy at times. The room was otherwise fine, very simple and clean. Bed was very firm and pillows like rocks and... More

Stayed in a renovated room for a bit extra. Very nice, good rate , quiet and quick walk to main street. Tv and bed great. Botanical garden over the road beautiful for a stroll. Friendly owners. Cant really fault it apart from shower splashes onto tiles
