We stayed at the Gatehouse on Ryrie for a night whilst travelling through Geelong. Such a lovely place. Beautiful piece of history. Paul was a lovely host! Such a great price which was inclusive of parking & breakfast!!! Room was lovely & keeping with the theme of the building in regards to furniture & decor.

Stayed here before and after walking the Great Ocean Walk. It is a beautiful property and feels so warm and welcoming. Paul was the perfect host, helpful and accommodating it really did feel like we were coming back home after our trip. The road is very busy outside but the location and personal feel to the place more than made... More

We stayed for an overnight and the place met all our requirements. Basic breakfast in the morning was easy and as we had a late night was great to stumble in at 10am without agro. Paul is great and very accommodating - we had no issues with noise (although it was a Saturday night), and yes the street lights did... More

I liked this place. Very old fashion, but in a good shape, and comfortable beds. Bad wifi. Average breakfast, nice staff and excellent location. Easy to park, easy to find. Go for a night or two, but don't stay too long, as Ocean Grove, Queenscliff etc are nicer.

The location was very central and within walking distance to the main shopping area and waterfront. We were warmly greeted by the host and shown where to park and escorted to the one bedroom apartment we had booked. The accommodation was in period style from the time of the original building with modern day extras like TV & central heating.... More

Very nice old house that was converted to a B&B. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that it can get noisy, especially since we had a room facing the front of the building, and wooden shutters didn't block much of the street lights or the sun coming up in morning.

Lovely "homely" B&B. Paul (the owner) is a really nice guy and made our stay there very enjoyable. Beautiful common area with Guitars, telescopes, electric organ?! A little quirky even! Just across the road from "Jokers" Bar - the only bar open past 11pm on a weekday! And a 24hr maccas if you're really stuck, but heaps of great cafe's and... More

I stayed here on my way back home after a long night drive. I was an hour later than I had intended and Paul happily waited for me. The breakfast was beautiful with porridge, cereal (including muesli), yogurt, tea coffee, toast and orange juice on offer. Bathrooms were clean as was the room. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed in order to go to Kardinia stadium - Saints vrs Geelong. Great room with lovely ambiance and very clean. Easy walk to town and restaurants, botanical garden (walk before the game) and to the stadium. Easy to find after a drive from Melbourne. I really liked the house and it's older world charm - beautiful led light windows. The... More

Very friendly owner and fast response. The house was almost full when we booked (quite last minute). Location was good, there's a Mac fast food just across the road, and walking distance to many shops. Breakfast room was cosy and nice, with ample food and drinks (there are even choices of bread, not just plain bread!). Bathroom was big and... More
