I stayed at the GCC whilst attending the Avalon Airshow with my young son. It was great to have an alcohol and smoke free venue for a change. The building was immaculate as was our room and bathroom. Actually I was pleasantly surprised expecting it to be spartan and boring but I was so wrong. The sitting room area near... More

I have stayed at the GCC many times, and have always found the staff friendly and ready to assist. The food is well presented and tasty, we nice, particularly if you have a special diet, the kitchen staff are will and able to accommodate your preferences.

Unfortunately could only stay one night. Nice location in the park away from noisy Geelong CBD. Comfortable room, clean and with all the facilities that you need. It didn't even feel like we were in Geelong. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice to step out into the park, look for Flying Foxes (large fruit bats) in the surrounding trees, listen... More

Very nice surprise . Hidden away in a park . Clean and quiet except for a group getting back early hours. Only down side was a double bed against a wall and and a fan in the shower that sounded like a jets turbo. Nice cafe with quality food. Limited menu .Will stay there again and happy to recommend to... More

I do have mixed reviews about this hotel. We came here a year ago and we were not impressed at all. The cleaners had failed to clean the room, just missed it completely I guess, so that when we got to the room we had a lovely surprise of it dirty!! then waiting for it to be cleaned so we... More

Thank you for you review. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our room so we are disappointed to hear about the condition of the room. AAA Tourism recently reviewed our property and rated the cleanliness of the rooms as outstand. Regarding the other matter, the Geelong Conference Centre is an “alcohol free” venue so again we are surprised about... More

My husband and I have stayed a couple of times and we love this place. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The gardens are a great place to take a walk and the pool area is a wonderful place to relax and chat.

Stayed overnight and was amazed at the quality and cleanliness of the hotel rooms. It was a lovely setting and hard to believe that you are less than 1km away from the waterfront, and 2km to town...you really do feel like you are in a resort! I had a bed and breakfast package and the breakfast was simply delicious. I... More

The conference centre has lots of events and its easy to stay there if attending a conference. Roooms are about 3 star, clean but not much in them and not the most sound proof. Plenty of car parking spots and nice open areas around the centre and in the reception area. Golf course is close by and the Geelong park.... More

We stayed here so that we could attend the Avalon air show with our 12-year-old son and it was the only accommodation left in Geelong. We were aware that it is run by the Salvation Army and had a no-alcohol, no-smoking policy. We therefore thought we might be in for a bit of a Spartan experience. Nothing could be further... More
