Run of the mill rooms, nice little pool and outdoor covered tables that were nice in the hot weather. Very uncomfortable beds though. Really hard. My hips were aching after ten minutes of lying on it.

We booked a superior room online for just one night, and felt quite lucky we did as it was show weekend and most motels had their neon 'no vacancy' signs flashing. The hosts were very welcoming and chatty. The room itself was upstairs at the back and was clean and quiet. The air-conditioner was Very welcome after an afternoon in... More

This motel is in a good location and the rooms were spotlessly clean, large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and we were able to walk into town for dinner. Ask for a room at the rear as the road noise from trucks on the highway can be a bit much during the night.

After booking in to a different hotel, which we refused to stay at, we booked into this motel and a very enjoyable stay. Wendy, the owner could not do enough for us. Highly recommended. Wendy found us a room at $124, per night. This was $44. cheaper than the hotel we refused to stay at. Wendy booked a winery lunch... More

Stayed in Room 17 during the Caulfield Cup weekend. This was a superior room which was ver clean and quiet. The pool area is great for relaxing. The hotel is across from Coles which is handy for food, drinks and ice. Water pressure was great and shower was nice and hot. Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but we slept well... More

This is the 4th yr we have stayed at the Paddlewheel and I cannot rate it highly enough. The hosts are absolutley committed to making your stay an enjoyable one and the hotel is prettly central. The rooms are clean and inviting and very comfortable to stay in. We stayed 5 nights this time and did not want to leave.... More

Nice motel and no problem with loud a/c or mattress as others have mentioned. The location was good and not noisey even though on the main street. The staff was very nice. We were there during Blues Festival and the motel was fully booked and still managed to get a parking space but parking area is poorly designed and takes... More

I booked myself, partner and others in the motel for 2 nights, based on price and convenience. It was good other than our room (20) the shower; it was impossible to juggle the hot water to a constant stream, probably because it was at the end of the block. Convenience? It is close to the Business Center but it is... More

Checked in for the long weekend (queen' birthday) in a standard double room (room 12) Room layout ok with the usual TV, kettle, microwave, toaster and iron. Room was clean but the carpet near the door frayed. Bed and pillows too hard, hardly any sleep as bed was lumpy. The window AC very noisy and leaked water outside. Also had... More

In response to your review I would like to advise that the mattress in room 12 is less than 12 months old and that most commercial mattresses are firm. There are two spare pillows in the cupboard and if none of the 4 provided are to your liking we would have been happy to source others from the store room.... More

Because it was Anzac weekend I booked our room a few weeks in advance. I asked the man the cost for two nights in a standard room including the discount for a Golden Chain Member. He gave me a figure and I booked the room. I always book a standard room because all we do is sleep in it. On... More

Our records show that it was myself who took your booking and all our standard downstairs rooms were booked for a wedding party which had been booked in months prior. Because you wanted a downstairs room the only option we had available was on the superior side of our motel. The other Golden Chain motel in Echuca has a male... More
