This motel is part of the Budget motel chain and the name says it all, so don't expect a 5 star experience. The rooms are large and spacious, one of the largest motel rooms I have encountered. The rooms are basic but tastefully decorated and comfortable. Close to everything - two minute walk to restaurants and pubs, 4 minutes to main shopping precinct and many of Bedigo's tourist attractions, including , talking tram, Sacred Heart Cathedral, historic View St and slightly further to the Central Deborah goldmine. Parking can be a bit tight if the motel is full - parking is on a first come, first serve basis.
As a value for money motel, this is as probably as good as it gets.

The motel is close to the highway and a little outside the Bendigo CBD, and seems to be visited mainly by travelling workers. I paid extra for a "Spa room", which did include a large bathroom with spa (which I couldn't bring myself to use, given the drought!) and a balcony.

The balcony was littered with beer cans and cigarette butts and overlooked the street, and the room was pretty unremarkable, so despite the reasonable size of the room I wouldn't recommend paying the extra for a relaxing getaway.
