After a long day and flying into Melbourne around 8:00pm, it was a boring drive up to Bendigo on a cool Saturday evening. I was tired and had a big few days ahead of me and just the one night at this motor inn and needed a good nights sleep. When I arrived, the key was under the mat outside... More

My husband and I stayed two nights in this motel. Motel staff were very friendly. Motel located within walking distance to centre of Bendigo. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Microwave, kettle, fridge meant we could do some self catering especially breakfast. Close to Rail Trail. Happy to recommend as a good motel.

My family and I spent 2 nights in the newly renovated family room. This consisted of a double bed in the main room with sofa, tv and table. There was a seperate room for the kids with 2 single beds and a tv. The room was extremely clean and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and... More

Just for an overnight stay, I wasn't put off by some of the other reviews of McIvor. It's compact accommodation with a large double bed, quite firm but comfortable all the same. The renovated bathroom has a walk-in large shower. The bathroom fan was on its last legs and made a dreadful racket during the night but it had died... More

OK, so the outside appears pretty daggy, but, this is a great place to stay for a good price by Bendigo standards, especially given how quiet this place is compared to other motels, equal distance from the town centre on the the ever busy and noisy Calder Hwy. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. We were actually looking for a... More

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean and well maintained (although a little old) which made it a great value for money. The service was great and the receptionist was lovely and more than happy to chat and share her local knowledge

The room was very clean, with good, old fashioned country decor and size, with all you would need. A table for two - with placemats - a comfy couch, a firm bed. We were there for New Year's Eve and our receptionist was terrific. She gave recommendations for good places to eat and we both learnt how to connect with... More

Small, but clean and comfortable room just a short walk from downtown Bendigo. The bed was comfortable with good linen, although the armchairs had been overly Febreezed. Only downside really was that the sink was in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom, a feature I'm never happy with. Friendly host and tasty, well-cooked breakfast. Would stay here again.

Had stayed in this motel four years ago and I must admit that on that occasion the room was a little "tired". This visit the unit was much more comfortable and updated although not one of the renovated units. Mick very kindly gave us a tour of the renovated rooms with a more modern kitchenette & bathroom. Would certainly recommend... More

Booked online as pictures and reviews were ok. Staff / owner was very friendly on arrival. Room was as advertised on the net, clean and modern and freshly renovated. Well equipped with tiny kitchen including microwave and toaster. The only thing we didn't like was the room was up a tiny untidy walkway. Big window but only top half of... More
