A stay in Hotel Shamrock is a must for anyone visiting the Vic Goldfields. The team at Shamrock rescued and preserved this piece of Australian heritage at its best. Clean, comfortable and classy room. Very comfortable mattress. Great and well thought of bathroom facilities. Reasonably priced room service. Great and helpful receptionist staff. Genuine, honest and highly professional! Also very... More

If looking for a quick bite, cake or coffee in a pub atmosphere, then head straight here. This iconic, landmark hotel was totally booked out over the long weekend but the lounge was available for coffee and a delicious cake for afternoon tea. For the size, presentation and ingredients in their wickedly, enticing cakes the price is amazing. We shared... More

Came here for lunch with friends who are locals. Unbelievably cheap meals - eg $7 for fish and chips. $12 for chicken parmigiana. When it comes down to it, it's pub grub - lots of it - but still pub grub. But how cheap. Couldn't believe it. Awesome value. Plus the staff are pretty awesome. Very friendly and very helpful.... I've stayed here many times over the years when I've needed to stay overnight in Bendigo and have always had a nice stay. I stayed in a standard queen room that had plenty of spare pillows and blankets and a great reverse cycle system which was very welcome as it was quite cold! I dined in the cafe downstairs for... We arrived early on Saturday morning to Bendigo. We came across the Shamrock Hotel. A lovely hotel that served excellent breakfast options. The eggs benedict and salmon breakfast meal is delicious. Nice size breakfast. Also ordered a cappaucino which was really well made. Nice surroundings and feel.

Hotel Shamrock in the heart of the CBD has been a part of Bendigo's history since the time of the gold rush in the1850's. It has been threatened with demolition, rebuilt & renovated several times but today is restored to its former glory. It offers fine dining, a bistro, 'pokies' unobtrusively tucked away, bars and often live music. The hotel... More

Just recently we had the opportunity to be able to spend a week in Victoria as my wife is a professional speaker on autism. The presentation was held at the Shamrock Hotel and we also stayed there as it was central to all touristy stuff. The rooms are very accommodating and comfortable. The rates for the hire of the venue... More

Beautiful building. The staff were fantastic from arrival easy check in to the great service and wonderful meal in the restaurant . Would highly recommend the Gold package for value. This deal is extremely good value with dinner, breakfast and great room. Couldn't have asked for more. Great location can walk to many attraction in the town.

A large room with high ceilings. Comfortable beds. Neither fancy nor plan but in a building full of history. The staff were helpful. Although there's lots of 'pub' activity happen, the Victoria Suite on the 3rd floor was wonderfully quite. A pleasant breakfast was included in the tariff. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore many of Bendigo's highlights on... More

Beautiful old place & would stay there again for a few nights but anything more and end up a zombie without help. All the historic features, many photos & documents combined with a great location in centre with easy access to most that Bendigo has to offer, all make the stay worthwhile but forget a good night sleep. Noisy floors,... More
