Ok, my first experience of an apparent rather than a traditional hotel. Place easy to find once you know where it is !! Collect keys from the Wine Lodge and was told immediately opposite, when in actual fact you cross the road and walk 30 meters down hill and it's the last building on the left. Room clean, basic and... More

We travelled to Bendigo by train and Allawah Fountain View was within easy walking distance from the station. It was in an ideal location for exploring Bendigo's central area by foot, visiting galleries, museums and strolling through Rosalind Park right next door. After all the exploration was done, it was a very welcoming place to return to for a much... More

We stayed Sunday night on the top floor overlooking the park. No breakfast provided, but a little kitchen and oodles of cafes just outside the door. We had balcony to enjoy the evening summer breeze and enjoyed a bath later in the evening. Easy parking as well. Very classy and comfortable accommodation as close to shopping and tourist options as... More

This old building has been done up very well, and is full of charm. We stayed in a suite which had a pretty good (if basic) kitchenette, and a big bathroom with a spa. The rooms were warm in winter and very comfortable. It had a great view to make up for climbing three flights of stairs, and the bed... More

Came to Bendigo to visit a friend and thought we were going to be staying with him but much to our surprise he booked us a room here. The location of the suites is close to perfect, being smack dap in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bendigo (if you could call it that), with a beautiful leafy... More

Graceful, high-ceilinged rooms in a former, historic bank building, make this a great place to stay, overlooking Rosalind Park & central Bendigo, only a block from the Art Gallery and great Wine bar and restaurant. Loved the ability to open a window but some traffic noise if you do.

A lovely old building right in the heart of Bendigo. Very comfortable rooms and tastefully renovated. Quite a few stairs to climb if you're on the top floor. Plenty of bars restaurants and interesting shops directly opposite. Park right next door and main shopping area just across the road.

Stayed while attending a conference at The Capital theatre. Beautifully appointed rooms, very comfortable bed, gorgeous old building. And having the Wine Bank restaurant across the road is a superb bonus!

I was hoping for accommodation at Fountainview on 24 May, but, it seemed that the whole of Bendigo was booked out for Grace Kelly and an additional Conference on at the same time. Fountainview put me on a waiting list and called me back later to say the only room available was the Honeymoon Suite (which is their most expensive... More
