There are so many pubs in Bendigo, it's difficult to know where to start your search for a traditional, customer focused venue that offers good old fashioned service in a modern setting with a tasty menu to match - The Foundry Hotel is a great place to start. I visit Bendigo on a regular basis & find myself returning to... More

We had been to this pub bistro before for dinner and had a great time, but we were pleasently surprised at the quality and quantity of their lunch time specials. Nothing per cooked or processed here. The lamb Souvlaki, a plate size piece of bread covered in the most tender, freshly cooked lamb pieces with salad and a huge steak... More

Traveling through Bendigo went there on the recommendation of the owner of the motel where we were staying. Ordered the Surf and Turf ($32), Tuscan breast of chicken ($22) and Beef Lasagne($19.9). Surf & Turf was dry with no sign of the garlic butter sauce and the prawns were tasteless. Tuscan breast of chicken had a sauce that had gone... More

Have gone back to the Foundry Platinum Room for a large group (80) business dinner. Set menu - choice of 3 or 4 from each course. I was very pleased with the meal, interesting prawns entree on smashed peas patty, salmon fillet was cooked extremely well and served hot - took a while to get my meal and drinks service... More

The food is always good with plenty on your plate and the service is quick. The family that run this hotel are very friendly and the atmosphere is... More

Was given a steak knife which looked like it had melted cheese on it. Could be golden staph however. Ordered a porterhouse (medium), received an overcooked scotch fillet which was half gristle and fat. When I sent it back and asked for a refund the manager came out and tried to tell me that scotch fillets are like that. I... More

This was our second visit to the Foundry, having recently moved to Bendigo. The first time was for lunch & I had salmon patties which were dry and mostly potato with the odd fleck of salmon. Overall unappetising, however, after a comment to the waitress, the meal was quickly changed to whiting fillets which were fine. The second visit was... More

Having read earlier reviews on the meals here, we decided to try it out. First time around, i had a Ceasar Salad that was the best i have ever had. All components were well put together and the dressing just right.....beautiful ! Wife had Fish and Chips, also really well done. The rub is our second meal. We both had... More

We didn't stay the night, the service was with a smile, the kids were served first followed quickly by our entree's and then the main's were not too far behind. Generous serves of good quality well cooked food. Well done!
