A very central place to stay in Bendigo. Beautiful rooms of a good size, good facilities in the kitchenette. A very clean and great place to stay! Very helpful staff and the Winebank is a great place to eat with a relaxed atmosphere. Very affordable rates.

We had room 5 upstairs in the Maisonettes out the back of the Wine Bank building. Loved it. Very private. Clean and fresh on arrival. Appreciated the cold water and ice in the fridge, and the cute well appointed kitchenette. Cleverly designed tiny bathroom met all our needs- clean, plenty of hot water, new. Couldn't see the wireless network, but... More

Thanks for reviewing Allawah Lisa. We are very proud of the repurposing and clever use of space throughout our range of apartments and suites and it makes it even better when our guests comment on it. As for the wifi it sometimes just needs a reset. Thanks again and I hope we see you again soon. Regards Mark More

The room was fantasic and very well appointedand the amenities were of a high quality and there was plenty of room. My only criticism was climbing the stairs to the top level as there was no lift. Not friendly for people with limited mobility.

Initially a little difficult to work out exactly where you are meant to book in...so get a few more details when booking...otherwise a lovely experience. The room was clean with up-to-date amenities. My bathroom was a little small but it was a single room...perhaps book a double if you can. Certainly will stay again, armed with the advantage of being... More

Thanks for your review Sonja. We have had a few guests over the time mention some uncertainty about where to book in, it is stated on our confirmation but I'll check to see if we can make it any clearer. I'm happy to read that you enjoyed your stay and that you will stay again. Looking forward to seeing you... More

We stayed in one of the maisonette rooms on the upper level. Unfortunately it was quite difficult to access with our luggage as there were only stairs to this room. The room was clean and tidy however the bathroom was extremely small and actually quite tricky to maneuver in and use. Check in is located in the Wine Bank and... More

Thanks for your review Debbie. We would like to have you stay with us again so here are a couple of tips. Always ask for a ground floor suite. The Maisonette's are our entry level, next time the fountain View suites might suit better as they are larger. The location of the car park is shown on your confirmation. Regards... More

Great location. Very interesting accommodation (maisonette) in rear of an old bank. Rates reasonable, room small, but perfect for short stay. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again next time we are in Bendigo.

Thanks for your review Julie. I have to agree our location is second to none, our rooms are on the smaller side but we'll appointed and very comfortable. No one gets anywhere near us on price for this level of accommodation. Looking forward to seeing next time your in town. Regards Mark More

We had one of the 6 maisonettes which are converted staff accommodation at the rear of the old bank, now The Wine Bank, a real plus having this good restaurant/bottle shop on site. The staff were very helpful, and the ambience and décor are great. It's right in the middle of the cultural precinct, across the road from the famed... More

Stayed in a maisonette room, which was more than adequate. It was a great location, close to the city centre without being on the main road so there wasn't noise from traffic or people. I got in late Sunday night and alternate arrangements were made for me which was very nice.

Appreciated the very good conversion of the bank building and maisonette was fine for one night as a solo traveller. Some light got into the room via the gaps around the blinds but not a worry. Excellent breakfast the next morning on the sunny side of the street.

Thanks Tony for reviewing the Maisonettes at Allawah. A great deal of effort went into transforming the old bank building into it's current form and hearing complimentary feedback from our guests makes it all worthwhile. It was also good to read that you enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the Wine Bank, hope to see you again. Regards Mark More
