We as a couple had 2 nights in a maisonette room (No.4) above the Wine Bank and thought it great. Booking in was interesting. It took a while to find the place with the only signage the A-board out front. Staff were pleasant. A very pleasant room. Fresh and clean. Bed was firm-ish - just as we like it to... More

Thanks for your review Richard, it helps us maintain and improve our accommodation offerings. I'm glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. I will look into fitting an extra shelf to the bathrooms whilst I'm tightening the tap or taps I if that be the case. Thanks again looking forward to your next visit. Regards Mark More

We stayed at the Fountain View, in a top floor suite. From our friendly, helpful welcome, to the spacious, comfortable room, we could not have been happier. The gas log fire was cosy, the bed we found really comfy, and the room/bathroom was spotless. The location is super central, and we enjoyed a filling and tasty breakfast across the road... More

Location great. Room cleanliness great. Bathroom was small but clean. Bed left us with a sore back, and we got woken up by other guests coming down the stairs in the morning. Lots of chairs outside the room, which make for an even noisier experience.

Thanks Miss Shellie for your review, we take on board what our guests have to say with the aim to always improve. Some guests rave about the comfort of our beds, some don't but rarely we get a complaint. I will look into this, I'll do the ultimate test and spend the night in one myself to see if some... More

I stayed for just one night in March in a ground floor maisonette room. The room itself was nicely appointed at this price point with a decent mini kitchenette and very small but functional bathroom. Allawah is very centrally located, particularly close to the park lands in the centre of town. I liked the ambiance of the room but I... More

Thanks Bazza for your review we appreciate feedback and use it to improve our offerings. We have tables in the courtyard for wine bank customers and Maisonette guests with a 9.00 pm curfew to reduce the risk of any potential disturbance to guests sleeping. I have never noticed or heard from a guest a problem with coverage of the blinds... More

We stayed in an Executive room in the Fountain View Apartments for 2 nights. The room was beautiful with 20 foot ceilings and very old world but with modern facilities. The spa bath was great. The main issue was having to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs (no lift). However the ambience was lovely and if climbing stairs doesn't... More

I have stayed at Maisonette apartments previously and enjoy the proximity to all that is good in Bendigo, the availability of great wine selection at the Wine Bank and the gorgeous old building. Always clean and comfortable with a nice courtyard outside the room. One improvement I'd like to see is the artwork in the rooms - ours had a... More

Stayed there one night to see Michael Franti play in Bendigo. Nice place, quite affordable. We stayed in the Maisonette room, it's quite nice. Very old building (the front used to be a bank; huge vaulted ceilings). It's now a wine bar / cellar at the front with accommodation at the back. Parking for 3 or 4 cars. We'll definitely... More

We arrived tired and in need of a cool drink at the Fountain View Apartments. There was a courtyard bar in which we enjoyed some lovely sparkling water. This bar was part of the restaurant upstairs which was also very good. Parked car at venue. Then upward to our apartment which was clean, very attractive and had a comfortable king... More

Thanks Evelyn, I really do appreciate people making the effort to review our accommodation. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and were well served by our friendly staff. The reason we have check in at Wine Bank is because our suites and apartments are in many different locations in central Bendigo. Thanks again for recommending Allawah and we look forward... More

We found the room well equipped and spotless in cleanliness. The bed was rock hard not comfortable at all. Never saw any staff and bar staff in the adjacent building took the fee. They were not interested in guests. Strange set up.

Thanks Trish for your review, we take very seriously our guests opinions and endeavor to always improve our accomadation. I would like to respond in point form. 1) we pride ourselves in cleanliness and the provision of well maintained equipment 2) getting the correct softness/hardness happy medium is not easy, some of our guests rave about their nights sleep but... Great apartment and very comfortable. Good location. In good walking distance to some great eateries. Definitely will come back again. I only have one very small gripe, and that is some milk in the fridge would have been nice to go with the tea and coffee.

Thanks Marian for the time to review Uley street. I'm glad you had a comfortable stay and I do apologise for the oversight with the milk. Next time your in town I'd love to shout you a coffee or two at the Wine Bank. More
