We found the room well equipped and spotless in cleanliness. The bed was rock hard not comfortable at all. Never saw any staff and bar staff in the adjacent building took the fee. They were not interested in guests. Strange set up.

Great apartment and very comfortable. Good location. In good walking distance to some great eateries. Definitely will come back again. I only have one very small gripe, and that is some milk in the fridge would have been nice to go with the tea and coffee.

We have been traveling around Australia and New Zealand and ended up visiting friends in Bendigo who recommended Allawah, even though they never stayed there or saw it. WE LOVED IT. Great to have such a quiet, comfortable, convenient place to stay. The morning breakfast was wonderful too. Great concept for a small space.

Hi there, Thank you for your kind words about our accommodation. Whilst being located conveniently in the heart of Bendigo CBD, the rooms stay quite as they are tucked behind the Wine Bank on View which is where you would have had the wonderful morning breakfast. Enjoy the rest of your travels around Australia and New Zealand! More

Spacious room, clean and great location. Tariff on the high side for what you get. Television/dvd set up not good and an upgrade there would be a great idea. Also shower was terrible, very hard to get wet! We had a lovely night away but just feel it was a bit overpriced.

Hi Marg, thank you for writing us a review. The suites are very well located and we always get positive comments on the cleanliness of our rooms. Some of the TV's have been upgraded throughout the rooms and those that haven't will be upgraded shortly. The shower in the room you stayed in, and every other shower in the building... More

Accommodation in a former bank now stocked with wine? Yes please. The five Maisonettes (previously staff quarters) at the back of The Wine Bank on View are small but very comfortable and well priced, though not serviced. Our ground floor room contained the original fire place, TV, fridge, microwave and double bed, the en suite a shower, basin and hairdryer.The... More

Thank you sending us your review! Yes the maisonettes are conveniently backed onto the Wine Bank on View where you can either browse through our large selection of wine or grab yourself breakfast, lunch or dinner. We often have people comment on the beautiful old restored bank building. The maisonettes are at a very good price considering the central location... More

Arrived to find the room we had booked was having carpets cleaned and were promptly upgraded. And what an upgrade it was. The room was spacious, beautifully presented and immaculate. The bed was comfortable and the room was climate controlled and a easy commute to everything you need to see. My recommendation to the management is that if you advertise free... More

Thank you very much for your review. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed the upgrade. The Fountain View rooms where you stayed could not be better for location and we regularly have guests mentioning how clean the rooms are. We do have a modem in the Fountain View building to be able to host a... More

Pros Location in the historic area of Bendigo. Across from Art Gallery and Park Motel price accommodation but full of character and modern touches Rooms are smallish but well laid out. Breakfast and coffee just downstairs. Cons Some very loud Wine Bank customers who thankfully left by 8.30 pm. Noisy stairway doors and wooden floor boards make it hard for... More

My husband bought me a gift voucher to stay in the apartment. We only live 15 minutes out of Bendigo but it was lovely to be a tourist in our own city and stay in such lovely accommodation. The apartment was at the top of the building, up 3 flights of stairs. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. No... More

I should have checked tripadvisor before booking I stayed during the week so the volume of people in the area was low, which helped, but i can understand why other comments have been made in relation to the noise factor associated with this accommodation. Room 3 is next to the entry door for rooms 4-6 which are upstairs. 3 issues... More
