Pros Location in the historic area of Bendigo. Across from Art Gallery and Park Motel price accommodation but full of character and modern touches Rooms are smallish but well laid out. Breakfast and coffee just downstairs. Cons Some very loud Wine Bank customers who thankfully left by 8.30 pm. Noisy stairway doors and wooden floor boards make it hard for... More

My husband bought me a gift voucher to stay in the apartment. We only live 15 minutes out of Bendigo but it was lovely to be a tourist in our own city and stay in such lovely accommodation. The apartment was at the top of the building, up 3 flights of stairs. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. No... More

I should have checked tripadvisor before booking I stayed during the week so the volume of people in the area was low, which helped, but i can understand why other comments have been made in relation to the noise factor associated with this accommodation. Room 3 is next to the entry door for rooms 4-6 which are upstairs. 3 issues... More

I stayed in a Maisonette last Saturday night. It is perfect for one person. It was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had everything I needed. Little soaps on the bed were a nice touch that I wasn't expecting. Excellent value for the money. Wonderful location right above the Wine Bank. Some people have said on Trip Advisor that it is... We had booked a stay with a family (2 young kids). The apartment itself is huge & nicely done, but to stay here is a bit of a nightmare. Parking is terrible as the chemist warehouse and other shops park in the very narrow lane were the car parking is located. So be prepared for a bit of unloading, stair-climbing... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that somebody damaged your car during your stay. It is a shame you did not take the time to contact us during your stay about the heating and HWS. Staff were available to come down to assist with the heating, maybe it was on the... More

Stayed here only one night, would have been happy if it was longer. character building, first class furnishings, linen, towels. Nice touch by staff having heating on for arriving guests on cold day. Mini bar wines good quality and reasonably priced. Location very short walk to great restaurants and bars. Ample off street parking. Check in / checkout easy.

We stayed for four nights in Room 6 over Easter. On arrival I was worried that it would be a bit small but the space is very well utilised and there was no sense of claustrophobia. It is a period building very well done up with good quality furnishings. The building is behind WineBank, just across the street from the... More

We stayed on the Saturday night before NYE and it was quiet and peaceful. Great location, loved sitting on the verandah having a glass of wine before dinner. The room was comfortable with period details, bathroom was compact and clean.

Thank you Ansky Winslow for your time reviewing The Maisonettes. I have to agree, the view from the verandah of The Maisonettes is great. It allows you to see a different side of Bendigo - the red bricks behind the hard plastered facades, the tall chimneys of the old gold smelters, the circular stair case, and not to forget the... The apartment we stayed in was run by Allawah which is associated with the Wine Bank on View Street and the Allawah Maisonettes, but these apartments are just a few shops down from the Wine Bar off a laneway.
