Graig's Hotel is a beautiful place and in a very handy position. Our original booking was for a classic room with twin beds. My travelling companion did not like the view out the window (which was of another building) and the room was too small in her opinion. A big thank you to the wonderful and extremely professional Jason on... More

This was our second visit to stay at Craig's Royal Hotel based on the high afternoon tea package. Our room this time was much smaller than what we had been given on our first stay and the dark coloured furniture in the room heightened the sense of "small". The furniture felt "packed" into the room. The ensuite bathroom was up... More

We stayed here because it already had good reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised at how good. The room we were given was completely refurbished and had all the features (such as plunger coffee) expected of a five star establishment. The previous two nights we had stayed at the Langham in Melbourne and would rate them no different. But... More

While this hotel is not a cheap option, it did live up to my expectations. I booked the room for a friends birthday weekend and we had an extra bed put in the room. When you walk into the hotel you feel like you've stepped back into a bygone era . It really is beautiful, some amazing furnishings. I am... More

Excellent service and accommodation. We were there for a Medical Conference and reunion. Food was great and well cooked. Valet parking was a bonus and the staff extremely efficient and pleasant. Would go back in a heartbeat for a weekend and see more of the beautiful city of Ballarat

Last night a fiend and I went to the Bistro for a meal after attending an event. I ordered soup and a garfish entrée. The soup was absolutely amazing. It had such beautiful and complex flavours. The best soup I have ever eaten...and that's saying something! The garfish entre was also superb...but the soup. Wow!

Spent a night here last weekend. Room was nicely decorated, big enough and comfortable, as was the bathroom. It was towards the rear of the property, with no view (who cares when you are asleep) and very quiet; couldn't even hear the bathroom plumbing from the bedroom (which is more than I can say for just about any modern property).... Our room is fabulous, well decorated and quite grand with a spacious ensuite. The balcony definitely needs some work though! Our dinner in the bistro was good, the bubbles and wine delicious. All staff have been friendly and helpful. The free wifi is pathetic & I think they should lose the pokies.Overall, a lovely place for a little getaway.

Spent two nights here recently. Pros are the property itself, the location and the quality of the rooms. Unfortunately the service let things down. The check in was a debacle due to the valet parking and no parks anywhere nearby and took way too long. Then there was a comedic series of stuff ups from both bar and wait staff... More

The reception (Jason) checked me in well and took me to the room to show the controls etc. Overall the hotel is good and the staff are polite. I am just staying my first night right now. So, I can't comment on the food yet, bit the bar was good for a drinking session in the evening. I went to... More
