Stayed overnight at Sovereign Hill, staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Package included entry to Sovereign Hill, Gold Museum, Gold mine tour, Devonshire cream tea, accommodation and breakfast. Good selection of both hot and cold food. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed in a family suite, and after visiting Beechworth jail there are a lot of similarities. Bathroom was dirty with dust laden cobwebs, the tap leaked and the door was squeeky, this was promptly wd40 by reception. The bunks have chewing gun stuck up the top bunk and graffiti everywhere. The bedside table has lost its varnish and you... More

Stayed 2 nights here at Sovereign Hill. Staff were helpful at check in. They were knowledgeable when asked for recommendations for family friendly eateries. The room had a king size bed and bunk beds for the kids. A microwave was in the room as well. The hotel is situated well for a visit to Sovereign Hill. Buffet Breakfast in the... More

We got the package deal to visit Sovereign Hill. He got entry to Sovereign Hill, gold museum, gold mine tour, and the show Blood on the Southern Cross. With the package we also got continental breakfast. Breakfast is cereal, toast, and juice. We had a queen bed with four bunk beds. We were on the bottom floor. If you do... More

We did the couples package, which included accommodation in a standard room, a devonshire tea, two-day entry to Sovereign Hill, an underground mine tour and entry to the gold museum. The package was definitely worthwhile. The room was well kitted-out and very clean. Breakfast was great - small plates of different combinations of eggs, spinach, mushrooms, etc. The devonshire tea... More

Lovely town. One of the rudest receptionists we have ever met. No chairs or desk in the room. We paid motel prices for what was basicly a fairly grubby hostel room for 6. No plates or cutlery to use. Bed sagged in the middle so poor sleep. Quite unimpressed with the place.

My son and I stayed in room 50 overlooking Sovereign Hill itself! The room was above standard with all the things one would require for a comfortable stay. The got access directly into Sovereign Hill via the special 'green' door which was very handy. We also went to the lighting and sound show which was very good. It was raining... More

History, a comfortable room and a great night out summarises our stay at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat in the Comfort Inn motel. My partner and I booked a weekend at Sovereign Hill for our best friend, his wife and ourselves to celebrate his 60th birthday. John has always been interested in gold field history, particularly gold field doctors, as he is... More

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Comfort Inn and the 2 day entry to Soveriegn Hill package. Would totally recommend this place. The accommodation was so close to the venue and the staff were very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for the great feedback. We were delighted to hear that the hotel lived up to your expectations particularly the breakfast and the novelty of the individual cast iron fry pans - many of our guests share your sentiments. The sound & light show runs for approximately 90 minutes and is most certainly a unique experience. Kind regards Neil... More
