The hotel is quite cosy, with new beds they were amazing and plenty of pillows. Our ceiling in our room needed a finishing touch up of paint, however with the housekeeping, owners/managers they were all very pleasurable and were very helpful with suggestions on where and what to do :)

I recently had a function on in Ballarat and not wanting to spend a fortune on a room for the night I found this motel to be fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. After having stayed in many motels i was expecting a small dimly lit room with a double sized bed, imagine my surprise when a luscious... More

After many years away from home I chose this property for its central location, and was more than happy with the position but more importantly the friendly management, large, clean room that provided me with a great nights sleep every night. Will be staying again on my next trip back to Ballarat.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Ballarat in Victoria. Specifically Sovereign Hill. It is a small Hotel of 14 rooms. Rooms are nice and large (lots of room) and decorated very nicely. The Owners were very friendly and helpful about places to go and places to eat. Lots of Restaurants within a short walking distance of 2 to... More

Booked through the best western website, which gave us continental brekkie included. Owners didn't even know this existed and tried to charge us for it. Then told me I couldn't have flybuys on my purchase because they have to pay for flybuys and basically I couldn't have my cake and eat it too! (One of the main reasons for booking... More

We came to Ballarat for one our regular weekends away. We come to Ballarat quite a bit and thought we would stay here this time round. The owners were lovely but the accommodation was woeful. The only good thing was the super comfy beds. The room was very dusty around the bed heads and the side table shelves, rhe lamp... More

I had to be in Ballarat for the weekend and found Best Western Bakery Hill on Trip Advisor. What a disappointment – I can only think that the previous reviewers have not traveled much and have little experience of what constitutes an acceptable experience. Having just returned from a trip overseas where I stayed in some really nice cheap and... More

Stayed one night in February travelling from Adelaide. Owners / Managers were lovely and very friendly almost felt like family! Happy to do anything for you. Right in centre of Ballarat, easy walk to shops and the restaurant they recommended. One of the cleanest, best appointed in all Motels we have stayed. Fantastic king size bed and various luxury pillows... More

Great little motel. Nice comfortable king bed, foxtel in room and plenty of space and parking. Close to restaurants and cafés. Nice to be woken up by church bells on a Sunday morning. Only fault was that we couldn't get in room wifi working. :)

Not much expect at the beginning when I book this place, mainly due to the price. We just want a place to stop for a rest before continuous driving back from adelaid to Melbourne / Tasmania. first impression humffray street got 2 side, this situated on the south side ( hints when you rely on GPS). The hosts is nice... More
