Seemed very run down and overpriced for what was provided. Even controlled the number of pillows in our cabin to prevent non-paying guests. Too bad if you need more than one pillow to sleep. Won't be staying there again.

I stayed in this park with my husband and 2 adult children for our last night before returning to the UK. We had 2 ensuite cabins which were basic and quite small but comfortable enough for 1 night and reasonably priced. There were some signs of previous flooding. The surroundings were quite pleasant and the lady at reception was friendly allowing... More

I obtained a job in Ballarat and had to move in 10 days. Looking for somewhere to live hopeless while so far away. This was the only camp that would allow me to stay for an extended time in peak session. It is close to the freeway so noise is a hassle for the first night. Owners very friendly. I... More

After a weekend at a camping music festival we needed a pit stop on the long drive back to Adelaide, Shady Acres fitted the bill! We got there around 7 pm was welcomed by a lovely lady who gave us our key to a cabin & a little carton of milk (nice touch). Finding our cabin was easy & the... More

We booked for one night stop over because we had our a pet travelling with us. The site was hidden away in a service road parallel to the main road. It was easy to check in and find the cabin (with ensuite). The cabin was standard and hot! We turned on the fan and A/C to full just to cool... More

We booked a week here for our caravan site as we are travelling with a dog. From the dog's perspective it is great for pets, as there is lots of green grass for them to run on. We were happy with the van site we were given which was relatively flat. The park is a little tired looking but if... More

The only place in ballarat that takes pets stay here only if you have to. Noisy run down scruffy sites. The high points were that we were passing thru and had only booked one night. There was a good view of mt bunninyong from our site and the dump point was ok. Not recommended at all. Keep going.

I stayed at Shady Acres Caravan Park on the 11th-15th and 18th-22nd of November for a total of 8 nights as I pre-booked for 2 weeks in advance for business (big mistake). The first week I stayed I booked a cabin with an ensuite. The cabins hot water system produced hot water for about 5 minutes of use before going... More

The park was a little run down but friendly and clean. It is located about 10 minutes drive from the city centre. As it is on the highway there was a bit of noise throughout the night from trucks going past. The friendly staff allowed us to bring our dog along which was great!
