We had an unforeseen circumstance and had to approach the hotel staff for their support. They went above and beyond to support us. Darren from the accommodation team was very friendly and supportive. The staff are authentic, respectful and courteous and the food is awesome! Would highly recommend this place for the location, customer service, food and drink!

We had lunch at the Star Bar before going to the footy at Aurora Stadium. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food here. It was reasonably priced (for an upmarket pub ) and the food was very tasty. THe service was fast and the wine list very good. I would definitely go back.

Great staff, service and food... The only problem I have is that I had to be up at 5:30 and had to listen (@12:07) to a live band that is so loud my lampshade is rattling and my ribcage vibrating while I'm in my room! That definately wasn't mentioned on the website! Don't get me wrong I love a live... More

My friends and I dined here twice for lunch when recently staying in Launceston and I would have to say it has some great options for lunch with a $15 lunch option at the bottom of their menu or you have the choice of Woodfired Pizzas or a more larger lunch option. In both cases I chose from the $15... More

I picked this place for its reasonable price, multiple amenities (it's a bar and cafe and a little bit of a lounge w live music) and the room amenities, most especially the wifi. I quickly found I needed to hang out in the hall ways in order to use the 'free' wifi. I did so for 10 minutes but then... More

The staff at Star Bar were amazing to us! We were treated so well, they went above and beyond what any normal hotel would do. We can't thank them enough. The accommodations are clean, and well kept, it's just a small pub hotel so the rooms are small and thursday and friday nights the bands play until the wee hours... More

We were in Launceston mid week and looking for somewhere to eat for lunch and options seemed limited when we came up on this place. The menu looked interesting, the welcome from the staff friendly and the table service good. We ordered the bangers and mash which was $27 and the spaghetti matriciana. The food came hot and in good... More

This was a nice bistro meal, but the service was a bit slow. Good lunch specials at $15, wood-fired pizza and the chicken wrap was tasty. Seemed like a popular place as it was full, so would return again.

I unfortunately wasn't able to get to sleep til after midnight both nights we are there, fair enough they have bands on Fri and Sat nights, however they don't mention anything on Thurs nights too... The room was very outdated, the linen old and stained! and the FREE continental breakfast for 2 people for 2 mornings equated to 2 small... More

Came for lunch, took 45 minutes to get meal, not ideal on a 1 hour lunch break when we both were obviously dressed in uniform. There were about 8 people in so shouldnt' take that long. Braised beef had gel on it and was tasteless, no seasoning in spinach and sweet potato. Pork belly risotto was little pieces of pork... More
