A few years ago we were delighted with the charm and location of Ashton Gate. So when we had a family wedding in Launceston , we couldn't think of a better place for our family and friends to stay. New owners Shannon and Craig could not have more welcoming and helpful in our time there. There is a Victorian charm... More

The white picket fence that surrounds the property sets the scene for this B&B. Set on hill not far from the centre of Launceston is this lovely white house, and when you step inside you are warmly greeted by Craig and Shannon the owners. All the furniture, pictures and ornament are either from yesteryear or replicas of yesteryear. Our room... More

Such a delightful B&B in Launceston - highly recommended. We stayed in the Jennifer Cottage which is perfect for 3 people or a small family. The new owners are lovely, breakfast was a treat and the location is perfect for walking around Launceston. The place and grounds are so quaint and delightful.

We spent two nights here whilst on a week long visit to Tasmania. The house itself is a delightful Victorian building furnished in keeping, and with beautiful gardens. The fairly new owners Shannon and Craig go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are only too happy to suggest places to visit, restaurants to eat at and... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Ashton house following the Cradle Mountain walk. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The house is a sprawling, period home with lots of charm. The bedroom and bathroom were well kept and comfortable. The breakfast was good and we loved the cooked eggs. We stayed over Christmas and were the only... More

We spent one night in this wonderful B&B close to the center of Launceston. We were welcomed by Shannon and Craig, the very friendly and helpful owners. They showed us around and gave us a lot of good tips (including a beautiful drive to our next destination). Our room was a bit small (with a large bathroom) but we loved... More

Shannon & Craig many thanks for your wuonderful hospitality. The bed was comfy and pillows very supportive! Your home is a perfect place to stay and get out to the fabulous wineries and other areas around Launceston. Only problem is the hill, but we conquered it ok!

A lovely grand home with friendly atmosphere. The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were kind, helpful and gave us some useful travel advice for exploring locally and further afield. The house's position is also good for going downtown and making escapes into the country.
