This is a superb place in a convenient part of town for walking. The hotel is spotless and the rooms all have excellent upkeep and everything works. We would stay here again. It is not too big and seems not to be a 'corporate' cookie cutter. The staff were wonderful, calm, relaxed, attentive and a real pleasure.

The Sebel is a great hotel. Everything you could want but best of all wonderful staff. Honestly the welcome we received after a long day of driving was so warm and efficient it makes this a new favourite. Breakfast the next day was wonderful and again great service.

This hotel will not get your hard racing but it does what a hotel needs to do: good bed, nice bedding, nice bathrooms with good products. Rooms are spacious with kitchenette. We stayed her before and after Cradle mountain hut walk. On our return we and our friends got an apartment with 2 beds. 2 bathroom and a massive lounge.... More

I was very surprised a the size, decor and cleanliness of our room. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the restaurant, a lovely breakfast, quick room service and all round attentive service from all the hotel staff. The post office clock has a lovely sound, and it didn't keep my son and I awake at all! This was one of... More

On the way to walk the Overland Track my son and I spent a night. We arrived quite late but scored a meal in the dining room. We enjoyed a quality meal with wine from a good wine list. The room was spacious and well equipped with all the usual equipment. In Launceston it would be hard to do better.

I need to be in Launceston on business once a year and always choose to stay at the Sebel. I have a slight handicap and the staff could not be more helpful. The rooms are always clean, the service wonderful and my stay a delight.

Room was lovely. The Town Clock did keep me awake unfortunately, even with the ear plugs supplied. I probably found the idea of putting Hotel card in slot to make the lights come on etc a strange idea as you had to leave your door open, to get light from passage way to see where to put your card before... We spent 3 nights here over Easter. The hotel is in a convenient location and you can easily walk to the Harvest markets or to the shops and restaurants. We had a king spa room on the first floor. The room was large with a separate bedroom. Bathroom had a separate shower, the toilet was also separate. Both could do... More

An all suite hotel in a convenient location. Apartments are spacious and well appointed. Some have views but generally not interesting. Apartments were well maintained and cleaned and comfortable with separate lounge/dining/kitchen and large bathroom. Restaurant and inroom dining were very good. I stayed in 3 different apartments during my time in Launceston. Inroom was cabled internet for a fee.... More
