We stayed as a family for 2 nights- the room was large and the layout and comfort excellent. We were invited down to drinks to meet the staff and this was a very pleasant surprise. We spent a good hour and half chatting to the manager, and shared some of his choice local wines. We will stay there again when... More

My family and I stayed here during our first Tasmania trip and found the location ideal. It is in walking distance to many of the tourist locations that you might want to visit. On arrival our room was spacious, clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were a good source of information for local attractions... More

Spacious, well-equipped rooms. Lovely decor. Welcoming, efficient staff. Convenient to restaurants, city and environs. Lovely walking by the river. Reasonably priced off street parking though spaces are tiny and you need to get in early to secure one. Only stayed one night and didn't eat in restaurant, though menu looked good.

We had last weekend here, and first time in Launceston, second in Tassie. We found our room a bit tired and a few odd things in there. The toilet had no fan or window, and believe it or not a mirror on the back of door so you have an interesting view for self reflection!! Drawers ran into bed head... More

Thankyou Lugill for this feedback and I am sorry you left underwhelmed. I agree the positioning of the mirrors is odd when the hotel was built and it is something we are looking at having removed in those rooms. We are undergoing an extensive maintenenace program during our winter months. Apart from new carpets and furnishings in the reception, this... More
