When you approach this hotel formerly Sandor's on the Park now hotel Launceston, you expect your normal pub type accommodation but there were elements that were pleasantly surprising and some you were expecting. The reception area is not great and is in need of updating but the staff are all very friendly. For $107 a night I got a queen bed,... More

I had stayed at this hotel before when it was Sandor's on the Park, had room service of good food and a lovely bathroom with good hot bath, just what you need when it is freezing outside and you don't fancy leaving your room with small babies. So I thought I had a good wotif deal when it described the... More

While I did not stay here I feel I need to let people know about the unfortunate policy's this hotel has in place I booked to stay here with my friend for agfest and a week after I booked the room I was involved in a car crash, while luckily I came out of it safely, I did not have... More

Well being a frequent stayer at this hotel over the last few years ..the price has risen from $99 a night to $130 and $140 a night ..the rooms are as they were old tv's with set top boxes very outdated about the same as they were 30 years ago. They have spent money upgrading bar and dining area to... More

Spent only one night and it was a Saturday night and yeah, it was noisy... (Some private function happened downstairs at the cafe/restaurant area). Bit hard to sleep, but other than that, not much complaint, a bit outdated but I,m not that fussy and who cares for one night anyway. Very-very clean room and bathroom, comfy bed, walking distance from... More

We stayed here on our first night in Launceston. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The room we had was basic and very dated and old fashioned, BUT to be fair, it is undergoing a refurbishment, and when it's done it will look fabulous. The bed was soooo comfortable, the room quiet and peaceful. It had everything you could want,... More

Don't waste your time staying here.......if you want to have a beer or a bubbly or a baileys nightcap! Our 1st day here...minimal bottles of bubbly, 3 glasses only of baileys, not all wines avail from "wine list" ! As for breakfast, terrible! We were a party of 35-40... Buffet breakfast COLD, bacon eggs, tomatoes, hash browns! Only scrambled eggs... More

We stayed in the cheapest rooms at the Hotel Launceston (paid $90 per night on Wotif) which are in desperate need of renovation. The walls were dirty and damaged, carpet was stained and the bathroom is long overdue a refit. However, the linen looked clean and the air conditioner worked. The hotel itself has a fully renovated restaurant and is... More
