Great spot for having a poke around Launnie. The room was small but clean - but was very reasonably priced. We also ate at the restaurant - prompted by the check in staff who mentioned menu in the room and the discount offered to guests. Again reasonably priced, nice atmosphere and good food. The only "complaint" was the small metal... More

Hotel Launceston was affordable, clean and well appointed. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. After arriving late in the evening it was so convenient to be able to grab a meal for my family with the staff keeping the kitchen open for us! Walking distance to the centre of town with off street parking available. Would stay there again.

We located in a room at rear of hotel , no view but quiet for sleeping, comfortable Q bed with large F screen TV. City view rooms were impacted by some noisy traffic. Bistro was exellent for breaky & dinner in evening moderately priced and good food with many choices. Staff were fantastic, well manered, helpful & worked together like family.Bistro atmosphere... Not only was Launceston itself fantastic, the Hotel Launceston is as well. Couldn't fault the service, especially the size of the TV, the breakfast in the morning, and the amount of TV's downstairs. The staff are approachable - some might even be Hawks supporters too, which is the main reason why we came to town, for the match in Round... More

Convenient location although on a busy road. Rooms were at the back up a very steep driveway with loose gravel which caused cars to skid with accompanying noise. Rooms were clean and adequately appointed, but a bit small. We ate at the bistro and enjoyed the food and good service. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered. A good place... More

The staff were very friendly, and attentive. We found the bistro to be of a high standard for dinner & for breakfast.I would definitely stay again. It was just a short walk to all the shops & restaurants. The room was clean & comfortable, the only thing was the pillows were to low no support.I would recommend to my friends for good value.

This is really well located close to CBD - only 5 minutes walk. Great park across the road for a morning walk, great bar and restaurant. Easy access when arriving into town, off street parking. I would recommend for business or pleasure - will be staying there again April 2014

We chose this hotel for its location. Our room was out the back, it was great. An older hotel, but our room was clean and comfortable. We had tea at the bistro, it was very good. We had the continental breakfast, which was good. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was the pastries/croissants. I think because we were early... More

We chose this hotel, as it was fairly close to the centre of town, we could walk most places. As we only needed one night in Launceston, we chose this hotel due to the reasonable price. The staff were very friendly, the location was fine, the water pressure in the shower was great... that's where it ended. The small double... More

A friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and bar. Reception was helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The bacon was awesome. When asked how Chef cooked the bacon so well, was told it was baked, rather than fried....WOW!!
