I have stayed here a number of times and I am never disappointed. It is great in winter as the fireplaces and all the little touches make you feel cosy and warm. There are only two rooms I have not tried yet but they are all different and unique. Love the pussy cats also!!

We stayed in the scottish styled cottage. It was very comfortable and the owners were very nice. Conviently located with just a 15 minutes walking distance from the centre of the town. A pleasant stay, thank you!

Welcomed to the Scottish Cottage. Ample continental breakfast. A beautiful 4 room cottage with easy walking distance of CBD. Comfy bed, claw footed bath, sitting room and kitchen with Scottish memorabilia in furnishings. Would love to stay again.

We stayed in the Scottish cottage and couldn't fault anything. When we arrived we were given all the information we needed and recommendations for what to do during our stay and restaurants. First night had a good meal at the local CHinese, Dynasty Second night went to Mud and had a lovely meal, would certainly recommend. Cataracts gorge is well... More

We stayed in the boudair room on our last night in tasmania having enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks driving around the state. It was private, quiet with little extras provided like the wonderful local lavender products for the spa which were also available for purchase The little things such as the literature, decoration , even music provided in the room... In a great location and historically significant, these cottages take you back in time to the early 1800's. Each cottage is themed ie English, Irish, Scotish etc. I enjoyed our stay here. However lovely our cottage was, it is in need of updating as looking a little tired and worn. All conveniences and personal touches were provided including a well... More

We stayed at the Scottish Cottage; it was a beautifully restored cottage with great attention to period detail. The accommodation was spacious, the four poster bed was very comfortable, and there was a nice bathroom with a roll top bath and modern shower. There was a well equipped kitchen and a generous breakfast basket provided, along with other extras including... More

Thank you for choosing to stay and for your kind words. The cottages were lovingly restored from a derelict state over 25 years ago. We are hoping that with comments like yours and support from the local community we can keep them from being delisted from the Heritage Register. There is pressure to delist these and many other properties to... More

When we arrived in our adorable Scottish cottage we spent the first few minutes walking around saying "ooh" and "aah" at the attention to detail. My husband has Scottish ancestry (and we have a Scottish surname) so it was particularly fitting that we were given this cottage. Although the feel of the cottage is antique, everything functioned as you would... More

If you are thinking of staying here, don't waste time thinking, just go for it! It's perfect, quaint, period accommodation, with gorgeous rose gardens, The staff were wonderful and helpful and it's right in the middle of town - a close walk to parks, cool cafe's, boutiques and shopping. The rooms are lovely, it's like stepping back in time ...... More

We stayed in the Welsh Cottage and it was great. The cottage is everything the website promises. Beautiful antiques, a comfy bed and loads of atmosphere. There is a double spa bath but a bit loud and we didn't want to disturb the people next door. Great location only a short walk to the city and the restaurants and bars.... More
