The location of this hotel is ideal allowing easy walking access and is easy to find. Parking is OK next door but isn't cheap. The Extras here are all costly. Breakfast is ok but not special And at $25 each is in my book pricey. Internet is also costly. The Rooms are ok but the airconditioning system is noisy.all in... More

Overall a good stay. Limited paid parking next to hotel, but a public car park a block and a half away offers all night parking for under $10. We had a room with two double beds, shower over bath and modern bathroom. Comfortable bes, all very clean. Somewhat noisy mobile (but ducted) air con unit, but window did open. Best... More

Locaton was great, very central and convenient, which we knew when we booked. Stayed there 20 years ago and I suspect our mattress was still the original from then - soft/saggy and very uncomfortable! portable air con was too noisy to leave on and weather too hot to not use it! Catch 22!

This hotel has that classic faded hotel atmosphere. Having said that I'm not sure if there is anything better in Launceston ! The rooms are modest, and have that 60's feel. The main AC system evidently does not work in the rooms so they have placed a mobile unit in every room. Now it was very warm whilst we were... More

Very expensive hotel. We were very sorry that we booked here. We don't understand why they are in business. It is one of the worst places we have stayed at. The only plus was a good bed and a nice bathroom, but at what price....and then the bad.... Charge $5.00 per half hour for wifi! Charge 1.5% for ANY credit... More

This hotel is in a great, central location. Check-in was efficient & done by pleasant staff. The room was very dated - dark, hot (no opening window), portable aircon unit (yes, portable - on the floor in the corner of the room) was extremely noisy & didn't do much to cool the room down. The bathroom was ok but had... More

We booked this room last minute as we wanted to drive from Hobart to Launceston. Paid an astronomical amount for the room for only it to be severely outdated, musky smelling & a noisy portable air conditioner. This sounds a lot like some of the other reviews I read prior to submitting mine. I would not recommend staying here.

We booked short notice with the hotel direct, and paid through the nose only to be rewarded with two dated airless rooms, that turned out to be so hot as they were right above the tin roof entrance which had heated up nicely in the sun. Windows dont open and the aircon units are noisy and inefficient. The place is... More

I booked this on lastminute.com and it was OK. Rooms clean, bathrooms a bit dated, but the main problem was that it had a portable airconditioner in the corner which seemed to be a permanent fixture. It was very very loud so much so that I had to switch it off last minute at night and leave the window open.
