I was here for one night in a nicely refurbished room. The room was comfortable and the window opened (something I like). Everything worked well, even though it is an old property with an odd looking cooling unit in the room. My only minor gripe was that it was hard to turn on the shower due to the location of... More

Room was more than sufficient for my needs. Bed was comfortable, pillows were medium to soft and room was clean although the bathroom was a little tired. Well situated and walking distance to some good restaurants.

We were looking for somewhere for a longer business stay in Launceston and the Hotel Grand Chancellor offered extremely competitive rates through the Entertainment Book. The room we had was spacious, clean with two comfortable double beds and good work space. We had problems with water pressure in the shower one night and reception immediately swapped our room with offers... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our 2 week Tasmanian road trip. Our room at the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor and clean and spacious. There was a large bench for suitcases adjoining the bathroom which was great. We had a package which included breakfast and parking which was excellent value. The buffet breakfast... More

Was in partial upgrade during our stay. Room is standard international room. No much fantasy. Walking distance to the restaurants. However, hotel staffs are very helpful as my hand phone was broken and they tried to borrow me the charger and computer to back up my pictures. very appreciated.

We stayed for one night (our third in Launceston) our check in was flawless. Our room was interesting, the motel has recently gone under refurbishment, we had a new room, very pleasant furnishings, we had 2 double beds?, a bit strange I thought, but that could just be me. The beds were a bit firm for my liking the pillows... More

Firstly we asked for a 2 person spa and got a 1 person bath tub spa. In which the plug didn't fit and the hand grip was hanging out of the wall.. The room was very dusty. $6.50 for a bottle of water! Was brought a complimentary wine and cheese platter the waiter took away almost our full bottle of... More

The best asset this hotel has is its staff. Always friendly, even in trying times. No complaints there. However..... If you didn't get into the shower before 7.00am there was no hot water. The Wifi is very expensive and very unreliable. My iPad mini was constantly logging on and off. It's a new iPad and works perfectly elsewhere. The noise... More

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. Very welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Refurbished rooms very comfortable. Very clean laundry area to do your washing. Location very convenient and just a short walk to City park, which was great for us as we enjoy an early morning walk. Also just a short walk into the mall for shopping. We returned back... More

Normally we have a great stay at the Hotel but this time we had difficulty with the spotlights from the front of the building. They had refurbished the rooms which were lovely but the cutains didn't close over properly as they were too small and the spotlights were very bright. We complained to reception at 10.30 pm but it was... More
