Booked the Old Bakery Inn after reading reviews and also due to its location. Very easy to walk anywhere in central Launceston. Good on site car parking, but we did not need the car for the 2 days stay. Very well presented and clean. Upstairs but that was no issue to us. Room was facing the main highway which made... More

upon entering our room both my mother and I went wow when we saw the furnishings. it was a stunning room with private balcony. the best looking room I have stayed in. the staff were wonderful. our stay was so well worth it as we work our way around Tasmania. I can see why so many people wish to stay... More

We stayed 2 nights. Staff friendly enough. Not too far from city centre. Parking tight and not enough. We had to park on the street one night, which was ok except we had to move car by 10am. We were going to walk to town but as noone had left parking spots yet, had to drive. Launceston is city of... More

Always stay here when in Launceston. Allan is always welcoming and the rooms are spotless. The whole place is filled with antiques and curios and the rooms have an old world charm with antique wash stands, lace curtains, huge beds the whole place is really lovely. The bathrooms are modern and sparkling clean.

Spend 4 night at this hotel. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was lovely with 4 poster bed, old world charm and period furniture. Bed comfortable. Added bonus was on site parking but you had to get in early. Manager friendly and Charlotte the dog always had a friendly tail wag. Bathroom spotless with lovely white fluffy towels and... More

A great place to stay in Launceston. The renovated room with four poster bed was a delight and the enclosed balcony made a great spot for breakfast. Our room was on the main road but with the enclosed balcony and air conditioner on, the road noise was not a problem for sleeping. In the mornings the sun shone onto the... More

The rooms are quite nice. However the parking is very crowded and almost impossible to get in or out of. There's no tv reception even though the southern cross tower is not that far away. The male manager is rather grumpy and a little on the ride side. Lady who checked us in was nice though. No microwave in room

Beautifully restored hotel, close to the wharf area of the city. Clean and comfortable with helpful staff.Nice breakfast. On-site parking is an added bonus. Comfortable beds in an old-world type setting.

The hotel was good value to use in Launceston before and after the hiking tours in Cradle Mountain. The building is a former bakery and the old time furniture, artwork and knickknacks take you back to earlier days. Most of the rooms have some stairs to negotiate so if you are traveling heavy, you may want to ask for a... More

Have stayed here twice. Its central and you can dump the car for a day or two. Rooms have a bit of an old world theme (don't be surprised if the beds a four-poster) which adds to the experience. It's clean and everything works. The Jail House Grill is just up the road and this adds to the package for... More
