Stayed just the one night, was given room 32 at first but did not like the sound of the kitchen air vent next to window so asked staff to be moved - they upgraded us to a suite on the other side of building for no extra charge. Was very happy with the lay out, the room was spacious. clean... More

Our first stay in Launceston was at this hotel for two nights. Our room was that largest we have ever had in any of the hotels we have visited in our travels in Australia and overseas. The furniture was well chosen and very comfortable. We were so impressed we returned for our final two nights before returning home. The food... More

Friendly service, convenient location. Very spacious, clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Great beds. Stayed in the Stables but I was disappointed with the conventional traditional style renovation and no reference to the 1855 building. This may not be an issue for most, but the room had no outlook or opening windows and an entrance directly off the car park... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in "The Stables" and it was well worth it. Located between the main section of town and Seaport - both within very easy walking distance, and the perfect location if going to the Saturday Harvest markets. The room was very clean and tidy, and very spacious. The bathroom was lovely, with a separate spa... More

We felt comfortable and looked after from the moment we arrived. Friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, good location, very good restaurant, classy furniture and fittings, especially the tall chairs in the waiting / tea room!!

My husband and I stayed at the clarion for 3 nights on our honeymoon. It's location is a perfect walk to most major attractions in the city including the park, boags brewery, the afl stadium and the city. The hotel is set with classic decor giving it a cosy feel. Being a old building there is no lift so u... More

We stayed at the Clarion City Park for two nights in early August 2014. Due to a change in itinerary we had to take the self contained apartment which was in the former billiard room that was built in the mid 1850's. The room was very expansive with high vaulted ceiling and the Queen bed was up in a very... More

Really liked the look and feel of this place, quaint on the outside but nice modern rooms. Close to the city park which is definitely worth a visit for a walk, a picnic, or to visit the monkey enclosure. The restaurant downstairs was impressive as well. There was a little bit of noise from the street, but it didn't last... More

We spent two nights at the Clarion at the end of a road trip around Tasmania. Our room was in the Stables (back of the complex) and was the best room we had on our trip. The room was very large with quality furnishings and bathroom (good lighting). Only a couple of blocks from the shops, restaurants, and tourist walk... More

Arriving late in Launceston , and last minute booking we were greeted by the lovely Majorie who took our booking early evening while still traveling to Launceston. First stay here and found the room delightful , large, great large bathroom, comfy king bed , we stayed in deluxe spa at the stables which was great, close to shopping precinct. Restaurant... More
