I was totally surprised at how great this hotel is. Room was very large and wonderful staff looked after us. I would totally recommend this hotel for short or long stays. I was there for a week and a must is a visit to the restaurant down stairs. Free fast wifi and coffee pod was a delight too.

This is a lovely hotel very olde worlde but with all the mod cons the rooms are spacious, A great place to rest your head for a night or maybe 2, They offer a restaurant downstairs along with a buffet a breakfast in the morning. There is a carpark so you can park your car off the street. I'm very... More

I stayed here for work so the booking was made for me. i was really pleasantly surprised. The staff are welcoming and lovely and there is a guest lounge with a real coffee maker. The room was enormous with 2 queen beds - so unusual these days and fabulous if you're travelling with kids! There was a large spa bath... More

This is the first hotel that we visited Tasmania for the first time. The hotel is very spacious, we and the two kids really enjoyed that. the bathroom is also spacious, with one shower stall and one jacuzzi type bathtub. The overall service is great, the front desk girl gave us a wifi password to use their in-house wifi, but... More

We enjoyed our one night in a very large king room; there's ample car parking at the hotel, the wifi has good signal and the hotel's location is convenient for walking (or a very short drive) to most places around town. The room was huge with a king bed, large Chesterfield-style sofa and good sized bathroom - see photos for... More

A beautifully decorated hotel! Very cosy and comfortable. The rooms are sized appropriately for a small family and the beds are very comfortable to rest on. The dining area has an old charm to it and also has a beautiful chapel linked to it! The music that plays in the background during breakfast creates a soothing effect and makes breakfast... More

We had a lovely stay at the Clarion. Friendly, helpful staff and a high quality restaurant mean we will be back. The rooms were of a high standard and we enjoyed the free coffee in the foyer. The central location meant we were near City Park (loved the monkeys), the Automobile Museum, and the James Boag Brewery. Only a short... More

Great location great check in but: Noisy - we had a room facing the Main Street and could hear almost every car going past. Expensive - $17 for continental breakfast. Our room had a pole in the middle of the lounge room. Whilst these issues are not game changers, the disgraceful attitude by Daryl was. I asked for assistance with... More

We chose this hotel because it was #1 in Launceston on Trip Advisor. If we were driving around looking for somewhere to stay we would have driven right on by. The room was absolutely beautiful with tasteful renovations giving justice to the hotel's heritage. The restaurant was a real gem with a cracker of a menu. We chose the oysters... More

Warm, cosy and welcoming hotel. Lovely staff. Very friendly welcome. Really great location. Everything in Launceston is walkable from here. Beware there are no stairs as this is a listed building. But the building is only a single storey so the most you've got to carry your bag is one flight up.
