A beautifully decorated hotel! Very cosy and comfortable. The rooms are sized appropriately for a small family and the beds are very comfortable to rest on. The dining area has an old charm to it and also has a beautiful chapel linked to it! The music that plays in the background during breakfast creates a soothing effect and makes breakfast... More

We had a lovely stay at the Clarion. Friendly, helpful staff and a high quality restaurant mean we will be back. The rooms were of a high standard and we enjoyed the free coffee in the foyer. The central location meant we were near City Park (loved the monkeys), the Automobile Museum, and the James Boag Brewery. Only a short... More

Great location great check in but: Noisy - we had a room facing the Main Street and could hear almost every car going past. Expensive - $17 for continental breakfast. Our room had a pole in the middle of the lounge room. Whilst these issues are not game changers, the disgraceful attitude by Daryl was. I asked for assistance with... More

We thank you for taking the time to review the Hotel Whilst every effort was made by all staff to accommodate your many requests, we were unable to meet your expectations and feel this would be a similiar outcome on future stays regards Phyllis Phegan Manager More

We chose this hotel because it was #1 in Launceston on Trip Advisor. If we were driving around looking for somewhere to stay we would have driven right on by. The room was absolutely beautiful with tasteful renovations giving justice to the hotel's heritage. The restaurant was a real gem with a cracker of a menu. We chose the oysters... More

Warm, cosy and welcoming hotel. Lovely staff. Very friendly welcome. Really great location. Everything in Launceston is walkable from here. Beware there are no stairs as this is a listed building. But the building is only a single storey so the most you've got to carry your bag is one flight up.

We stayed one night at the clarion. We had the best room 35. Was spacious and everything we needed. Fully stocked bar. All the toiletries needed which was good because husband forgot his razor. We were a few minutes walk to a local pub where we had a beer and wine at the royal oak. Whilst that was a nice... More

Lovely old hotel in Launceston. I had a lovely big room on the top floor with window-views on 2 sides. Warm (in June) and great restaurant. Highly recommend for business or pleasure. Good value for money too.

Stayed here is April 2015. The room was exceptionally comfortable, and most importantly, quiet. Walking distance to James Boag, and a number of restaurants in town. The staff were friendly and helpful. Next time we are in Launceston, we will definitely stay here again.

The Clarion was a wonderful place to stay. The room was first class, clean and well maintained. The hotel restaurant was fantastic for dinner and approximately $10 cheaper for a main course than equivalent restaurants in Hobart. Our only reservation was the breakfast, the hot food suffered badly for being served in Bay Marie's and the coffee was a very... More

Central town location. Rooms of good size, clean and very comfortable. Lovely quirky features in the cottages which is where we stayed. I loved this hotel. Tea-coffee facilities and a full sized fridge. Perfect stop.
