We flew to Launceston for one night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality accommodation that awaited us at windmill lodge. My boyfriend and I love old buildings with history and this felt like a little step back in time. The location was great - on top of a hill with views and a short stroll into town amongst beautiful... More

This is a nice cute place to stay in. The owner Steve is a wonderful person and personally takes care of guests and of his property. The decor is tastefully done up, the breakfast is excellent, bathrooms clean and the rooms spacious. The location is central and perfect for taking in the sights of Launceston - almost everything is within... More

Cant believe I had forgotten to review this place, as I've stayed here three times at least, I and three mates take the family room for two nights each year, and the biggest recommendation for this place is how much you miss it when you miss out and book elswhere. This old victorian/edwardian mansiaon type house is well done out,... More

Five of us stayed here over the Festivale weekend. The rooms were spacious and perfect for our needs, it was a bonus to have a lovely sunroom where we could all sit and chat at the end of our days exploring Launceston. Steve and Marissa were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and they were very accommodating to our... More

From the warm welcome we received, to the day we left, we really enjoyed our stay here. This is an older, two story property located close to the city. Our upstairs queen room at the back of the property was clean, airy and spacious and had everything we needed for our three night stay. The suite included a queen size... More

Fabulous breakfast, great family suite. This is our second holiday in Tasmania, and the family was unanimous in wanting to return to this charming B&B. Beautiful old rooms with high ceilings. The family suite has two separate large bedrooms and a kitchen. Unlimited high speed wifi, which worked perfectly. It's true that the floorboards creak slightly and the plumbing is... More

Everyone comes here for the breakfast, but everything else makes it not worth it. The floors inside the room is partially covered by filthy carpet, bathroom is tiny, and the taps can't be turned off and dripped water whole day. The room is also very small, just big enough for the bed and a LRT TV. Well, if you don't... More

We noticed there're more than 30 ppls lives in the same very old house. It's way overcrowded. There's no privacy as every time you walk on the tired timber floor, other ppl can hear very clearly. The shower is a also big problem with the very aged probably a century old bathroom. Water is very small and if somebody else... More

I stayed here with a group of girlfriends before and after a trek in Tassie. Two months later we are still raving about Steve's breakfast so I am writing my first ever review to let others know. Just about everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. All else about the stay was great but it was the breakfast I would return for.

Me, my husband and our two yr old stayed at Windmill Hill lodge for 4 nights and we only have great things to say about it. It is not ultra modern accommodation but has everything you need and only a short walk to town. Combined with Steve, a great host and his wonderful breakfast we had a great time in... More
