Fabulous breakfast, great family suite. This is our second holiday in Tasmania, and the family was unanimous in wanting to return to this charming B&B. Beautiful old rooms with high ceilings. The family suite has two separate large bedrooms and a kitchen. Unlimited high speed wifi, which worked perfectly. It's true that the floorboards creak slightly and the plumbing is... More

Everyone comes here for the breakfast, but everything else makes it not worth it. The floors inside the room is partially covered by filthy carpet, bathroom is tiny, and the taps can't be turned off and dripped water whole day. The room is also very small, just big enough for the bed and a LRT TV. Well, if you don't... More

We noticed there're more than 30 ppls lives in the same very old house. It's way overcrowded. There's no privacy as every time you walk on the tired timber floor, other ppl can hear very clearly. The shower is a also big problem with the very aged probably a century old bathroom. Water is very small and if somebody else... More

I stayed here with a group of girlfriends before and after a trek in Tassie. Two months later we are still raving about Steve's breakfast so I am writing my first ever review to let others know. Just about everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. All else about the stay was great but it was the breakfast I would return for.

Me, my husband and our two yr old stayed at Windmill Hill lodge for 4 nights and we only have great things to say about it. It is not ultra modern accommodation but has everything you need and only a short walk to town. Combined with Steve, a great host and his wonderful breakfast we had a great time in... More

We stayed here for five nights in october. We are a family of 5 so stayed in the two bedroom apartment that caters for up to 6. The rooms are dated but that is the theme of the accommodation to keep with the period of the house (1870's). Rooms have everything you need and are serviced daily, beds comfy and... More

You need to bear in mind that this house was built in the 1870's. Fantastic location on the top of the hill above Launceston. Rooms are aged but adequate and comfortable. Fantastic hosts who are keen to help you enjoy your Tasmanian experience. Breakfast is the big draw card here, fresh, healthy and plenty of it, a cooked breakfast is... More

We stayed one night in the families room that can sleep up to 6. it was very spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The welcome from Steve and the banter over the amazing breakfast helped make a delightful stay. And the breakfast... home grown honey and poached fruits (pear, peach, apricot, berries and more) and home baked bread and... More

My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. Windmill Hill is well located in a quiet area of Launceston and our room was huge and spacious with a well equipped galley kitchen area but we did find the shower a bit on the small side. Some other areas in the room would benefit from a little more attention... More

We only had one night at the Windmill Hill, but it was a great start to our Tasmanian holiday. Arriving late on the least flight into Launceston, we were worried about getting in despite our reservation on the night before a big V8 Super car race. Stevie our host was up waiting, carried our heavy suitcase up the stairs to... More
