We booked this hotel knowing it was budget and after reading reviews. The owners are very friendly and the continental breakfast that was included was beyond our expectations. Yes the rooms are dated and in need of a little TLC but they were clean which was our main concern. Towels replaced & bathroom cleaned daily! Beds were comfy & rooms... More

under new management who appear to be endeavouring to improve the motels standard. We were looking for a cheap room which was quiet and off the highway and this it was. Rooms are very dated bed was comfortable . No hassles and management seemed receptive to comments we passed on re horrible coffee which we gather has now been replaced.... More

The room was smelly, can't even describe the smell. The bathroom mouldy and the exhaust fan didnt do anything to rid it of shower steam. The only upside to here was the shower head, although the water pressure and temp dropped and peaked several times during our showers. The place is very run down, reminded me of poor council flats.

We weren't expecting much for the price but the accommodation was reasonable. I booked this based on reviews and a lot of accommodation seemed to be situated right on the highway where as this far enough away that we had a terrific nights sleep with hardly any noise at all. Room is quite dated though and needs a general face... More

My Wife and I Stayed At The Blue Lake Motel Through Travel Auctions. The Hosts Were Very Friendly, The Rooms Was Quite Spacious and Very Clean. The Motel Provided a Kitchen and Laundry, Which We Found Very Handy. The Bed Was Very Comfortable, The Shower Good. The Heating Worked Ok, But The heater Unit Was A Little Noisy. The Location... We just recently went to Mt Gambier for Easter and we stayed at the Blue Lake Motel, on first appearance yes it does look a little old and unrenovated but we were warmly greeted and the room was exactly what we paid for. We stayed in the family room which had yes just a double bed but it was quiet... More

I recently stayed here while traveling through Mt Gambier on a motoring holiday. The room was a good size, a bit retro looking but very well maintained. The motel was about about 2 kms from the city center. The price of the room was also unbelieveable. Don't drive past this one!. Ian

We spent a night here on our travels along the Great Ocean Road. We had read the reviews on here and decided to give it a shot. The room we had was large enough and clean and tidy. Tea and coffee, fridge, toaster etc. When we checked in we mentioned a deal on the web that included breakfast and the... More

We spent a night here on our way to Melbourne from Adelaide; a very convenient stopping off place! Although dated it was clean and well equipped, with a fridge, tea, coffee, milk and a very good cooked breakfast. A peaceful location, on the edge of the town. The owners were friendly and helpful and at $70 per room we felt... More
