We've stayed here numerous times over the years mainly due to the view. The city lights at night are beautiful. We travel with two adults and two children so get a family room in the "standard" room block. The bedding is a double plus two singles all in one room (we had room 17). Since our last stay a couple... More

I booked this hotel on a "summer getaway" deal. Beware of "deals" - looking at the websites closer to travel dates, I note lower prices and more inclusions (eg breakfast or wine or upgrade) without the so called "special" deal. The deal blurb did not show type of room and of course we get the "standard" which is terribly ordinary.... More

Dear BettyG919, We are sorry we did not meet your standards during your stay with us. You did however book with wotif.com and obviously did not do your homework on the room you selected, as every detail is outlined under each room type on wotif (specifying that this room has a double bed only). This was even claryfied via email... More

This Motel/Resort backs onto the most iconic feature of Mount Gambier....The Blue Lake. It has relatively new owners trying extra hard to bring this resort back to its former first class reputation. The rooms were freshly painted, new linen and beds. The views over the town are simply the best. All the staff were friendly and no request was too... More

Great stay. Exactly what we needed for the night. Very clean rooms, I am very fussy with the cleanliness of rooms. We liked the manager, very friendly and helpful. Cosy rooms very comfortable bedding. We have stayed in many places on our travels and we were very pleased to have chosen this motel. The price was very good. We highly... More

I stay here whenever I am in the Mount becas]use it is nice and quiet. Most pubs are on the Jubilee Highway and all you hear are logging trucks all night long. Standard rooms are basic and a little dated but are clean and the internet speed is v good so can catch up with the office. Dining room is... More

We stayed at the Lakes Resort because we attended a wedding there. We were a little concerned after reading the reviews but it was very convenient for us so we booked in regardless. We were pleasantly surprised. Yes is it old and dated but overall it was clean the bed was very comfortable the room we had was huge and... More

Paid $150, the room was worth $70. Room had poor lighting that made it difficult to do paperwork and read. The view was overshadowed by the large multi story building next door that is partly demolished and looks like it belongs in down town Bagdad. Wish I had trip advisor prior to this stay, as the advertising was very misleading.

This is a "middle of the road" motel with a range of accomodation from simple rooms to spa-suites. We stayed the night in a simple room: clean, good bed, adequate bathroom facilities. The breakfast was cooked to order and good quality with friendly service. Thr location is very queit and close to the crater lakes and offers nice walking tours.... More

Thsi place could be more than great with a little attention. Unfortunately our stay was rruined and we definitely would not stay here again. The room decor is well out of date, terrible laminate cupboards, old and small tele and inefective lighting. We could hear every movement of the people in the room above us and the water noise throught... More

We rocked up with the sliding doors saying please side Open. They have stopped them open Automatically because of their pet birds. We had gotten in and paid $184.00 for the honeymoon suite, she was helpful but not a professional operation considering the price. On the internet with the Honeymoon suite Champagne and chocolates on arrival we didn't see that... More
