Look, there's not a lot of choice in Mount Isa. This is the best one. Because it is a mining town, you will find that there are a lot of transit workers that stay here during the week. The hotel restaurant is pretty good, and the place next door (can't remember the name) serves a pretty good breakfast and cold... More

There's not a lot of tourist travel to Isa and the RedEarth knows that people in town have to be there and will pay what it costs. That being said, the property is comfortable with good rooms (there is a difference in style and level of fit-out between the hotel proper and the "Isa" next door which is now part... More

First of all, you are more likely to stay at the old Isa Hotel across the air ridge, rather than the Red Earth when you book. This isn't necessarily a bad things as the old hotel has huge rooms and windows that can be opened. Even though you are above the pub and over the Main Street it is reasonably... More

I had a last minute change to stay overnight on business and was fortunate to stay at this very nice hotel. A good sized room with a large balcony. Tastefully decorated and very up market for the Isa and indeed rates along side any motel of the same * ranking. I never ate there as I only had high vis... More

Stayed in Mt Isa hotel wing adjacent to the RedEarth Hotel during some very hot weather. Checked in at the RedEarth, then short walk on first floor across a bridge between the buildings to room. Large with comfy queen size bed, free wifi, very reliable a/c, huge TV on wall and good size clean bathroom. Room was located in the... More

This is an Oasis. I drift into Europe and forget where I am. Large room, big comfy bed, gorgeous furniture, big tv, well lit, secure and a great bathroom with a huge shower and shower head the size of a plate. Is thus for the miners. Who cares - I could relax and holiday here. The rest of Australia needs... More

Please note: This review is for the Isa Hotel (affiliated with Red Earth). After taking a look around town I decided to dine at the Isa Hotel - out of the places I checked out this one had a lot more life & atmosphere (on a Monday night). The variety of steaks was great and mine was cooked to perfection!... More

You don't see many hotels in the outback that look this good, with very well furnished rooms with lounges. I sprung for the balcony, which got some use, but it was just a spartan space overlooking scummy CBD streets (and it gave me a ringside seat for some domestic violence within half an hour of arriving). There were a couple... More

The hotel I would say is the best in town. The decor in the rooms are what i expect from a 5 star resort, not a hotel in Isa. The tavern directly downstairs has great (backpacker mostly) staff that are very helpful and prompt. They even take drink orders at the table as the walk around cleaning. The chefs actually... More

Please note, this is a review about the Rodeo Bar and Grill only - not the RedEarth Hotel! I had dinner with a family member on the 30.9. and 4.10.2013 who raved about this place. Hence, how could I refuse. My personal impressions: the staff is friendly and efficient, and the ambiance is possibly above average for a remote regional... More
