This place is truly awesome!! I stayed with my partner and it was so quiet. We were there for a concert and there were other people staying there for the same event; however, it didn't make the resort loud. I room was nice and big for a studio and the kitchen was great and everything we needed. The two pools... More

Booked this "resort" at $270/night for a three star room. Not serviced. Is close to the beach. No meals available. Games room underneath the carport. Staff not very friendly. All in all an expensive, basic, no frills stay. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you felt this way. The rate paid was an overnight rate in a 4 star AAA rated 2 bedroom unit, so we are unsure of what you mean by not servicing the room. The industry norm for these units is a service every 7 days, and as can be seen by... More

Boy, this place was pricey for what it offered. No complaints about the room, but the pools were not inviting and the place feels rather dated and low in vibe. The beach access was great and it's the sort of beach you can take a cricket bat to and play cricket in the late afternoon. Overall, if I'd paid less... More

Thank you for your review. We are rated independently by AAA as a 4 star rated Self-Catering property, but would agree with you that in our opinion we are a 3.5 star property. The photo's supplied for viewing show the resort as it is and therefor we are a little surprised by the comments on the pool and grounds, as... More

My wife and I stayed for a month, and for the money we paid (over $900 per week) you would think that the unit would be cleaned entirely, at least once a week, not only a linen change. And absolutely no idea how they can call it a resort. Unit however was clean but a daily service, seriously move out... More

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you felt this way, given that you decided to stay on for a month. When your company booked and paid, they decided to take the non-serviced weekly rate with only a linen change a week. We make this quite clear when booking. We do thank you for the acknowledgement that the... More

Our villa was clean and comfortable but dark gloomy and in need of a revamp. It actually had a really big nice bathroom in contrast to the standard of the rest of the furnishings. They have two pools and the beach is at the end of the complex. There is a small shopping complex in walking distance with a good... More

I ended up staying at the Comfort Resort because there was very little choice of accommodation available on this trip to Mackay. The resort is set in very nice gardens, and, at the end of the drive way is a lovely grassed area and the beach. Beautiful for walks or picnics. The resort itself is a bit old and the... More

Mackays accommodation in general is expensive so we did no expect much. This resort was disappointing only because the rooms had a distinct smell of animals which could have been due to damp or actual animals that had previously been within the apartment. This is something that would be easy to resolve with some room deodorizers and air freshener and... More

After reading the other reviews, I was terrified of what we had already booked and paid for. However, we thought it was a lovely typical North Qld resort. Yes the acommodation is outdated, but it met our needs entirely as a family of four. We stayed in a two bed with small balcony next to the pool. The beach is... More

I travel once a month and stay in lot of hotels...This is NOT 4 star. The Novotel or Holiday Inn is a 4 Star, this is lucky to be a 3 star. The rooms are dated- except new bed spread and a flat screen TV, but everything else is dated. There was no room service ( as advertised) and the... More

The location is great and the rooms have a full size fridge, washing machine and dryer however, for the price they should be cleaned daily. You even need to buy your own toilet paper.
