In Mackay for a wedding & a reunion with friends whom we had not seen for a while. Great facilities close to everything, but if you want to sit outside & chat with your mates forget it, 10.30 curfew, mine workers stay there too.. Reversing policy needs to be enforced, to many fumes in our room in morning........

Arrived after the office had closed at 20h30. I knew this would be the case so I E-Mailed in advance and they got back to me with a sensible late night check in procedure. The room was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was a fair bit of external noise from the road, but once... More

Lovely clean, restful and well maintained. Staff very helpful, happy and friendly. Very quiet place so able to get a good night sleep as windows double glazed and beds very comfortable. Will definitely stay there again and prices value for money

For $120 you get a very clean room.. Very friendly service.. Just what you need for 1 night stay before flying home.. Beds were the best on this trip.. Only negative comment is the location near a very big road. If you are a light sleeper go somewhere else or get a room fare away from the road.

Pardon? No, it doesn't stink - of the overly intense faux-fragrant bloody cleaners that just about every damn place in Queensland seems to use to drown out the uselessness of their cleaning and somehow hope will cover their lack of managerial and housekeeping ability. Actually I'm writing this 3 months after staying there and meant to do sooner, but it... More

Very friendly and helpful staff - best of all during our 14-days trip in Queensland, spacious rooms are spottlesly clean, good price, free wi-fi internet. Our stay here was very very pleasant. Stay here, you will not regret!

We got into Mackay in heavy rain and wind and decided not to set up the caravan we were towing because it was just too hard in the weather. The Mackay Motor Inn was the first accommodation we stopped at to check for vacancy, and we were fortunate enough to get a room. They also had parking for trailers, etc.... More

For budget accommodation you couldn't really ask for more. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were only overnighting so decided to try the home cooked meals. Wish we hadn't. We got a mixed bag. The rib and eggs was great, the calamari and salad very disappointing for the price (5 small calamari didn't fill up my hungry son).... More

I recently spent 5 nights at the Mackay Motor Inn. While it is a basic Australian motel the rooms are well equipped, very clean very comfortable and value for money in a town where accommodation is generally overpriced . I had absolutely no issue with noise from the highway or the other guests. There is a good selection of pay... More
