We needed a spot to stay overnight in Mackay and decided on this Motel. The rooms were very dated but they had been repainted and the beds were new. We are a family of four and our room had a separate room with two single beds for the kids. Motel is on the main road into Mackay (along with a bucketload of others). We didn't have any issues with road noise (we aren't light sleepers though). There was a small kitchenette in the room but we didn't use it (microwave, jug, bar fridge etc.). Fridge & microwave seemed new. There is a swimming pool which our kids enjoyed. It had a fort with a slide into the pool. Overall, we wanted a room to crash in for the night and we were happy with our choice. I wouldn't stay here any more than overnight mainly due to the location (highway) although it was very handy to shops etc. more
