The motel is very central to the main shopping area and there is a Woolworths supermarket and fast food outlets in the next block. The room was basic and small but clean. Overall good value for the location.

Located in Goondoon Street in the centre of Gladstone. Easy access, close to services. Excellent managers who are very helpful and go out of their way to make my stay comfortable and productive. The rooms are not the newest but everything works well and the beds are comfortable. I have stayed at Rusty's Motel twice for business. Definitely recommend.

Rusty's is a prime example of Queensland hospitality at its best. The management went out of their way to make us comfortable: rides to the marina for Heron Island, ride to the airport, kept our big luggage for us while we went to Heron Island, changed out money paper money to coins for the self do-it washer and dryer, real... The motel has a great central location; and the room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The wifi actually works -- which was not always our experience elsewhere, There is also a complimentary breakfast, which is excellent. We had booked well ahead and, when we arrived, our hosts had already turned on the aircon to cool down the room. Our room... More

Although centrally located the rooms were far from clean or inviting and for the price there are many more motels that are far better value as I have found out being a regular traveller to the area. The motel is just old and run down with no care from the staff.

After a long drive north it was a great surpise to find such a welcoming package at Rusty's Motel. Amazing value. 3 of us styaed the night in a very clean, very comfortable room. The beds were very comfortable, the shower as hot and the place was clean. Dinner for the 3 of us in the adjoining Thai restaurant cost... More

Rusty's has been around for years. In fact, my family stayed there when we moved to Gladstone in the mid 1970s. It used to be called The Rusty Anchor, but has had a few make-overs over the years and is now a reasonably priced, clean little motel in the style of the old-fashioned highway motels. The restaurant was closed for... More

Rusty's Motel within walking distance to Specialty Shops, Supermarket, Restaurants, Hotels. We were in Gladstone for a wedding we had a fabulous time, and our stay at Rusty's Motel made our the 3 day stay exceptional. Great Location, neat rooms that actually smelt clean, and not from deodoriser, more like dust free clean and most important... very comfortable beds. The Managers... More

Initially we thought we had found the right place to stay in the middle of town, after trying to ring to make a booking over a week ago, I had actually given up as the message said the phone was disconnected?.so decided to find a place when we arrived in Gladstone. As we were driving through the town..I spotted the... More

A basic motel that has been recently refurbished. The room air conditioning was a old manually operated machine. While it did the job adequately it was very noise. The restaurant however more than makes up for this. First class food! We both had seafood which was some of the best we've eaten. Recommended.
