Whilst Recently staying in a Coolangatta we went looking one night for a meal. Staying nearby the Coolangatta Hostel we wandered in. Cosy interior with open fire for a coolish Gold Coast night. Comfortable seating , well priced meals / special board tempted us. This hostel is really a backpackers accommodation so I can't review that , however no complaints... More

The room we had was clean, sheets were clean, beds were comfy, lots of room, 3 out of the 4 lockers we're broken though. Was sometimes noisy but not too bad. The kitchen was tiny and the fridges were kind of gross. Staff were lovely and bathrooms were pretty clean. (Not the best I've seen, but definitely not the worst)... More

The place is very very nice, but there are many young (and not very respectful) people so it is very likely that you will have to put ears plugs if you wanna sleep. Moreover, when you wake up there is a mess in the terrace: full of bottles and rubbish. However, the terrace is very beautiful to enjoy (although it... More

The accommodation was cheap and was right by the beach. A simple breakfast of toast, cereal and tea was also included. However, the room was dingy, the bathrooms were often dirty and the fridges in the kitchen were leaking. The kitchen and the utensils were dirty too, yet this was more the fault of the occupants I think. Our impression... More

I came here solo and I loved this hostel! There's a huge balcony area with picnic benches to eat or just hang out and also large outdoor beds which are great to have a nap, read or book or to just socialise with other backpackers! I loved that everyone would always be hanging out there so it was easy to... More

It is a basic hostel in a seaside resort, close to beach, shops and cafes/take away/restaurants. Double room had 4 bunks pushed together and only a centre light. This made reading in bed almost impossible but there was storage and air con. Shared showers and toilets ok sometimes needed cleaning. Kitchen fridge space not enough for full occupancy. Long term... The Hostel is cheap and cheerful in an excellent location with friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms need a bit of sprucing up but it is a backpackers hostel and "you gets what you pay for". The guests are not noisy but unfortunately some of the roof-based equipment is quite obtrusive when you want a quiet early night.

This hostel was great, had no problems at all. Rooms were fine, had lockers with power points inside which was great for charging valuables securely. Airport pickup was also a plus! Would definitely stay again!

I stayed in this hostel in Sept 2012 during a university break with friends. Although we only stayed here overnight, I thought the concept was really cool. The rooms opened out onto the balcony where people could easily chill and was a good way to meet people. The bar downstairs appeared more like a local watering hole, so it didn't... More
