Definitely the worse management ever. Staff do not care at all about customers. After spending 2 months in the hotel, Rhyanna, the manager evicted me for the only reason that I told her the way she manages was NOT fair. She was so rude, not even letting me speak and saying 'Do you even speak English' - Why do you... More

First of all, I have been to many hostels in South Africa, Europe, the USA and in Australia. But this Hostel was definitely the worst I've been to. Dirty linen, very loud, smelly rooms, broken furniture and overall was the hostel in a bad condition. Out of 6 male Showers there was one without a defect. Lots of toilets broken... More

I stayed one night by myself in a room which said Max occupancy of 4 people. How you would fit 4 in there with bags I would never know. The location is good but you only have to go a few kms up the highway to Brisbane to get a motel room for $60-75 with your own TV and bathroom.... More

The rooms are very small, sheets and blankts were'nt very clean, there's a disco right in front of the hotel wich is open from friday to sunday, it is very loud with plenty people on the streets during the opening times, drunk people, loud cars, the people that you have to deal with at the hostel specially the house keepers... Reasonably comfortable and a great location, however staff weren't very friendly bordering on rude and it was very noisy as it is on top of a pub. Upon removing the top sheet on checkout as requested, I found the mattress cover to have been recently stained and not from me. Ok for the price paid but the lack of cleanliness... More

Just a review of restaurant at Sands Hotel in Coolangatta. Cold winter night in Queensland recently and we didn't want to walk too far for dinner! Decided on The Sands (pub) below our accommodation. Lovely ,warm interior with just a few patrons, but more arrived later on. Refurbished restaurant with good bar scene and kitchen type menu. Pleasant , efficient... More

My first time in a hostel wasn't that great. The lady at reception wasn't the friendliest woman which wasn't a good first impression. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was an flat as a pancake. staying there on a saturday night when i needed to be awake early the next morning to go to the airport wasn't a good... More

Once again as older patrons, we enjoyed our stay. Keep in mind, you are not staying at a 5 star hotel. If you want full service don't stay in a hostel with young people enjoying themselves and your rooms are basic. Good beds, clean sheets, pillows not so good. Toilets and showers clean. There are no towels. Free coffee and... More

This was definitely not the best hostel on my trip along the east coast. The people are pretty great and the location is fantastic with the Main Beach and Snappers just around the corner, but it would be just nice to have another option, a good hostel in Coolangatta. Good for them that it is the only one. When I... More
