This hotel is very overpriced for the quality of the rooms! We booked 2 two bedroom apartments for only one night(thank goodness no longer) the young lady on reception was barely friendly but we appreciated her dropping the room rate as she knew we had no chance of a refund and were catching an early flight next morning. The rooms... More

We recently had a 2 night stay at this hostel/hotel with different slant on life! Arrival was seemless, check-in efficient and well before the 2pm (we were in our 8th floor apartment by 12.30). Parking was secure and under cover and the reception staff were friendly. The room itself was a bit aged, even though it had, apparently, been recently... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Only 5 mins from the airport and literally 2 mins to the beautiful Coolangatta beach. There is public bus (number 700) every 15 mins heading towards Surfers Paradise but the journey is a little bit long, took more than one hour to reach. There is free basic breakfast for backpackers only. Wifi is said to... More

We loved our stay here so much that we made sure we returned for our last stay in Aus before returning to the UK! Kommune is in a perfect location in the heart of Coolangatta just a stones throw from the beautiful beach. Couldn't fault the bedrooms. We went for the 4 bed dorm and was by far the best... More

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay at Komune. We got a great deal on a one bedroom apartment with a huge balcony and ocean views. The resort is definitely aimed at young people, with a particularly funky pool and bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Even though I have lots of grey hair, I still enjoyed sampling the tacos and... we loved our stay here in April 2014. we stayed 4 nights for the start of our honeymoon on the 8th floor in a one bedroom apartment. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this hostel is one of the best by far. the view is unmatchable as it is the only stretch of beach unobstructed by pine... More

I liked the rooms here, I stayed in the Dorm ($30 p/n) for the first night then stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment (Good Value the next. The air conditioning noise is constant, however to wake up across the road from the best beach in the world (Greenmount) is Gold! Staff are friendly. I would not like to stay when... More

I loved Komune resort! I went there with two friends, all 24 and 25. It's a fancy hostel with some hotel rooms and the price is great! I felt a bit bad for families that booked there because it's really loud, especially if you're on the bar side, which we were. We loved it but I can't see being happy... More

The novelty of a rooftop balcony really sold the Two Bedroom Rooftop Apartment for me. Myself, my partner and another couple shared the room over the weekend and much to my disappointment the 'rooftop' balconies were not actually on the roof, they were just the highest balconies on the building. When we entered the room we could see that this... More

We booked in a Sunday arvo & immediately fell for the place. Our room was great beautiful view over Greenmount beach!! Now as the beachclub is open to everyone it was a party atmosphere.. which didn't worry us in the slightest. The music was turned down at a decent hour and listening to people having fun is nice. The Mexican... More
