As we are on the road constantly we stay at Motels on a regular basis. We managed a great deal for $104, which included breakfast. The room was clean and tidy - yes, a little dated, but the linen was new and fresh, with luxury bedding. No problems with the internet or noise - we were in Room 3 .... More

Rooms are dated but comfortable always happy to stay there. The rates are fair. The hotel next to it is owned by the same family so the only thing is you have to walk to the next hotel for dinner but the food is well made. Rooms 1-10 are good because they aren't backing onto the main road they are... More

Stayed here one night early February. Staff are friendly enough but rooms are definitely past their prime. Nothing specially horrible just generally run down and seems poor value for money. It is located not far from Sugarland which is handy for food and drinks if you want them. My major gripe was I'd been very specific that we needed a... More

Could do with some noise reduction measures - highway noise is a big issue and lack of security. Why no fence? Noisy and draughty. Not for anyone needing a restful break between a busy work schedule. Not at all competitive with other local motels on offer. Offering the absolute bare minimum to get their 3 stars. Clean and tidy, personable... More

Our family stay at the Bert Hinkler was disappointing. We found the rooms very sparsely fitted. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. The reastaurant was closed which is not a problem, but as we got take away there was no plates or even a knife. no microwave etc. Just the basics.1 teaspoon Please whats the go with that? This was... More

Sorry but I found this motel very poor - from asking for a blanket as the old type wall air con was so noisy (and they don't turn off when the required temperature is reached so you wake up cooked) to trying to organise breakfast on a public holiday (FIVE conversations about this one meal before they decided to tell... The hotel is close to all the basic amenities. But the staff / manager needs to have more local area knowledge rather than just run a hotel. We were arriving at the hotel late in the afternoon on a public holiday. We called the hotel a week before to get some information on what food places are nearby and if... More

Classic 70s motel, complete with "Norwegian Wood" bathroom and 70s colours. Toilet was loose on its mountings and squeeked loudly when I sat on it. Didnt worry me but might have annoyed the neighbour. High quality breakfast at a reasonable price.
